I stayed at this hotel with my husband in September 2006.14 days is the optimal period if you want not only to sunbathe and swim in the sea, but also to see something (and there is something to see in Spain).
The hotel is located in Lloret de Mar on the Costa Brava near Barcelona.
Barcelona (1 hour by bus or train) is a mixture of styles and times. It is divided into two parts: the old and the new city. In the old town, architecture and museums are interesting (for example, Maritime). In the new city, it is also worth seeing the architecture and wandering around the shops. Near Lloret de Mar are Girona and Figueres. Figueres is the city where the Salvador Dali Museum is located, as well as the old Fortress.
Girona is considered the second capital of Catalonia and, unlike Barcelona, ​ ​ some local flavor reigns. It is interesting to see the fortress walls and "colored houses" along the river there.

And now more specifically about the hotel. We really liked the hotel: we were put in a nice room overlooking the hotel's patio with a swimming pool, as well as the square with a playground, cafes and shops. As we realized later, looking around, this was the best option, since some rooms overlook the neighboring building (this option is clearly less successful). Although the room is small (we had a double room), it is cozy: a large bed, a TV, a wardrobe with a safe (10 euro deposit), two bedside tables, a table and two chairs on the balcony, a bathroom with a shower (in some rooms - bathroom) and toilet, there is a hair dryer. In general, the appearance of the hotel looks more successful than even some four-star hotels that look like typical "boxes". The hotel is also convenient for its location - it is located in the center of Lloret de Mar and from it to any end of the town is equally close (this is good for those who like walking). By the way, there is a small forest nearby, in which there is an amazing smell, similar to the smell of eucalyptus, although in fact, there are mostly pine trees. To the sea about 5 minutes walk through the streets with shops and souvenir shops.
As for the cleaning of the rooms, there are no complaints about the change of towels, however, with the change of linen, an overlay came out. We rested for two weeks, change of linen - 2 times a week. In the first week, we changed the linen only once, but on the seventh day we turned to the reception and the linen was changed the next day, and then 2 more times. In the bathroom, branded small tubes of shampoo, shower gel and small soaps are changed as they are used.
The staff is generally friendly and helpful, they communicate in English (with the exception of the cleaners). The hotel mostly rested Russians and middle-aged Germans. The ratio is about 50/50.
The food was delicious and plentiful. We had breakfast and dinner. Breakfast and (or) dinner the day before could be replaced with dry rations if you eat for the whole day in another city. For breakfast there were a variety of buns, sausage, cheese, vegetables, fried sausages, omelettes, jams, fruits, ice cream, eggs, cakes, different types of coffee and tea, juices. For dinner - several types of meat (chicken, pork, beef, turkey, lamb, fish), side dishes (beans, potatoes (fries, boiled in pieces), fried cauliflower, rice, pasta), salads (vegetable, with meat, etc. . ), fruits (melon, watermelon, apples, peaches, pears, nectarines, grapes), ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, fruit), sausages, cheese, cakes. Everything is very tasty (except for the fried cheese balls). But for dinner, drinks, unlike breakfast, are paid. By the way, who takes the "breakfast only" mode can dine in nearby cafes for 10-15 euros.
Entertainment on site: parrot show once a week and once a week flamenco, billiards. In general, according to our feelings, the hotel, even if it is a three-star hotel, is with a huge plus, or rather a 4-. And according to the ratings: service - 4, food - 5, accommodation - 5.
