This summer my husband and I went to Blanes (Costa Brava, Spain) for 10 days (25.07. 09 -4.08. 09)! Wonderful and very cozy town! Helped in selecting a hotel and obtaining a visa - the tour operator "Mercury - Intour" (mercury-intour. com. ua). We rested at the Beverly Park Hotel 3 *. The hotel is one of the best in Blanes, we really liked it. Not far from the sea - 2nd line - 4 minutes to the beach, green area, swimming pool, playground. It is located on the outskirts of the city next to a pine park where the campsite is located. The air is wonderful, quiet and calm. On the main street 20 minutes to the city center. For 3 stars, the hotel has very good service. There is animation: during the day for children, in the evening for children and adults, there are constantly contests and dances. From other hotels, we constantly came to the evening performances.
Near Blaumar hotels (no entertainment at all) Blauncel. Unlike Loret, hotels here are quite far from each other. In Loret, in the beach area, looking out at the balcony in the morning, you run the risk of colliding with a neighbor from the opposite hotel. No, really, the hotels are built only 1.5-2 meters from each other! So that's about Beverly Park. Excellent cuisine for 3 *. Lots of fruits (peaches, apricots, apples, pears, plums, melons, watermelons, pineapples, figs, grapes). Lots of dessert, at least 4 varieties of constantly changing ice cream. Very good freshly made yoghurt for breakfast. The menu changed throughout the week. They fed paella and gazpacho, various fish and shells and snails, and even their famous delicacy pig hooves. Very good staff. Many try to speak or know Russian. Special thanks to Olga at the reception. The food is good, varied - especially for dinner and lunch. The cuisine is very good and delicious. True, the breakfast is monotonous, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, fried bacon, fruits, juices.
Blanes itself is a very beautiful city! There are two wonderful botanical gardens there! You can go to Barcelona by yourself (an hour and a half drive). By bus number 4 from the bus station to the platform for about 10 minutes. There is a bus every 20 minutes. The ticket costs 11 euros (bus + train round trip). You can go to Girona on your own. I highly recommend, every hour from the Plaza Catalunya (where the boat is) there is a bus from Blanes-Girona. It's exactly one hour. I highly recommend a ride to Loret. There is a very beautiful botanical garden and watchtower.

There are excursions to France (Carcassonne, Narbonne), to Andora. We went on an excursion to Montserrat, Flamenco with dinner from 19:30 to 1 am. During our holiday in Blanes there was a fireworks parade, a very beautiful sight. We went on our own 2 times to Barcelona, were on the square near the Museum of Art of Catalonia, in the same place - singing fountains; on Mount Montjuic - Olympic stadium, dolphinarium, park, large sports areas; were at the Nou Camp stadium, the entrance to the stadium is 17 euros, on its territory there is a megamarket of souvenirs FC BARCELONA (a huge selection). We also visited La Sagrada Familia - A. Gaudi (17 euros entrance), a large aquarium in the port (entrance 17 euros), next to it is a monument to Columbus. Behind him begins a large and long La Rambla street (like Andreevsky Descent in Kyiv or Arbat in Moscow). Lots of shops, sales. There is a separate excursion to the city, where they go specifically for shopping, where 70% discounts on the old collections of Chanel, Dior, Burberry, La Costa and many others. others
Be sure to visit Spain, because the prices for holidays are not very different from the "good" Turkey or the same Croatia.
Have a wonderful holiday everyone!
