Rested a family of 3 for 10 days in the first half of July.

Tour operator - Anex Tour.

Unfortunately, Anex Tour showed its optionality and at the last moment rescheduled the departure from morning to evening.

Given the time difference with Spain, we got to the hotel around 21:30.

The hotel consists of two buildings connected by a hall and has seven floors, including one underground.

In the underground place there is a SPA area (including a gym, indoor pools, saunas, changing rooms and massage rooms), a children's playroom, a left-luggage office, a hall with stands of travel companies, a restaurant.

Visiting the SPA zone is paid: 7 euros per day for adults, 4 euros per day for children. When buying a subscription for several days, there is a system of discounts.

At the same time, if your plane leaves in the evening on the last day of your stay, and you need to check out in the morning, you can take a shower in the SPA area for free before leaving the hotel.

On the ground floor (it is considered zero) there is a hall, a reception desk, a bar, a slot machine room, a conference room, which is used for entertainment events in the evening and several rooms.

There is parking in front of the hotel. The cost is 5 euros per day.

If you stand facing the main entrance, then 200 meters from the hotel on the left side, next to the park, there is a wasteland where you can park your car for free, but no one guarantees safety in such a parking lot.

The hotel lobby is spacious, stylish, cool, filled with a pleasant aroma (apparently some special aerosols are being sprayed).

The settlement went quickly. A tourist tax must be paid immediately upon check-in. For our family, it amounted to 14 euros for 10 days.

At the reception there are two people who speak Russian, but they do not always work. The rest can be spoken in English.
We got a room on the first floor. The windows overlook the neighboring hotel, which is 15-20 meters away. There are pros and cons to this. On the one hand, if you do not close the curtains, strangers will constantly drop in on you, on the other hand, less sensitive extraneous sounds from animation and evening concerts.

The room has a small balcony with a plastic table, two plastic chairs and a clothes dryer.

Noise isolation from the balcony is good: when you close the door, the sounds from the street are minimally noticeable, even during evening concerts in Onabrava or a nearby hotel.

There is enough space in the room for a comfortable stay of three people.

The room has two double beds with comfortable mattresses and small pillows.

In the hallway there is a spacious closet with lots of hangers.

The safe is located in the same closet. Safe rental - 3 euros per day. Plus 10 euro deposit for the castle.
In addition, there is a table, two armchairs, one bedside table and a TV cabinet with a small refrigerator. The refrigerator worked silently.

Air conditioner in working order. The air conditioning system is centralized, but in the room you can independently regulate the temperature.

There are only three free outlets, including the one in the bathroom, so I recommend bringing a tee with you.

LCD TV with a diagonal of approximately 25 inches. Shows about 50 channels. Of the Russian speakers - ORT, RTR Planet, Russia 24 and TNT. The signal quality is good, the image is clear, convenient remote control.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. The speed of Internet access and signal stability, in my opinion, is the same as in the lobby, in the room, in the restaurant, near the pool, and allows you to watch movies online.

Bathroom combined. Medium size. Bath, large washbasin, toilet, bidet.
During the whole stay the bed was not changed even once!

Mosquitoes flew into the room, I advise you to take a fumigator with you.

The territory of the hotel is small. In addition to buildings, there was enough space for a pool, a couple of shops and cafes.

The pool is big. The depth varies from 80 centimeters to one and a half meters. The water is clean. Slightly chilly in the morning, but warms up well in the afternoon.

There is an additional pool for kids.

Lots of sun loungers. Nevertheless, by eight in the morning, that is, by the time of opening, a queue of people who want to take advantage of the best places is lining up. But you can not rush: you will always find a free place.

The sun loungers are not new, but comfortable enough.

A beach towel can be obtained from the reception free of charge, but with a deposit of 10 euros. Change towels there. The number of substitutions during the day is unlimited.

The towels are big and good quality.

A high level question.
And for breakfast, and for lunch, and for the evening there is a very large assortment of dishes, which differ, both depending on the time of the day and on the day of the week.
There are no special frills, but the dishes are delicious, cooked with soul.

For breakfast: salads, cuts, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs, cereals, bacon, sausages, pastries, cheeses, fruits, pastes, honey, jams, several types of fresh juices, cold and hot drinks, sparkling wine, etc.

By the evening, several types of meat and meat dishes, fish, seafood, various side dishes, almost every day some themed Spanish dishes, salads, cuts, cheeses, sweets, pastries, fruits, ice cream and much more.

For lunch, the assortment is more modest, but varied enough not to leave hungry.

As I wrote, we arrived late and late for dinner. For such latecomers, the so-called late evening is provided, which starts at 23:00 and consists of meat, vegetable, cheese cuts, fruits and a bottle of still water.
Late evenings can be pre-booked at reception if you plan to return to the hotel after 21:00. If you plan to leave early, then the day before you can order an early breakfast for a while. The restaurant will open for you at the agreed time. The menu is the same as for the late evening, plus hot drinks.

In addition, if the voucher provides for meals "breakfast-dinner", you can change dinner for lunch an unlimited number of times.

There are only two drawbacks associated with food: firstly, paid, and quite expensive drinks during lunch and dinner (for example, a 0.5 liter bottle of still water costs 1.85 euros); secondly, the dishwashing quality is terrible - be very careful when choosing a clean plate, it may not be as clean as you expect!
From the entertainment on site: a room with slot machines (for both children and adults), table tennis (racquets can be borrowed at the reception for free), evening concerts by animators or guest performers.

There is a library, but there are no more than ten books in Russian.

Animation is standard from 11:00 to 17:00. Divided into three ages: children, teenagers, adults.

For adults: archery (on site), table tennis, darts, water polo, aqua aerobics.
Approximately the same set of activities for teenagers.

On Fridays, mini-football tournaments are held between several hotels on a large grass field, located a five-minute walk from the hotel.

The animation team is fun and active. Everyone speaks English, a couple of people understand Russian.

The grocery store on site has very high prices and a small assortment.
In stores located a five-minute walk towards the center of Santa Susanna, the choice of products is much larger, and prices are one and a half to two times lower.

In the souvenir shop located next to the grocery store, prices may seem high at first glance, but you can bargain there, and as a result, buy what you want at a very reasonable price.

In my opinion, according to most parameters, the hotel corresponds to the declared category. And when solving problems with cleaning and cleanliness of dishes, it will fully justify its four and a half stars. We are happy with our choice!

Now about the sea. To get to the beach, you need to cross the roadway, go down to the underpass, exit it, turn right, and then, fifty meters later, turn left. The road takes 5-7 minutes.

The beach has coarse sand.
Unfortunately, it is dirty, as there are campsites on the first line, where many vacationers live with pets, which are walked right there and are not always cleaned up after them. And in general, during the entire stay, I have never seen the beach cleaned.

There are no showers, changing cabins, toilets, sun loungers, umbrellas on the beach. To take advantage of these benefits of civilization, you need to walk along the beach for about 10 minutes to the right or left.
The advantage of the lack of service is that there are relatively few people on the beach: you can always find a place to sit at a comfortable distance from other vacationers.

Both on the beach and near the pool in the hotel it is allowed to smoke.

When entering the sea, the depth changes very sharply: at a distance of 5-7 meters from the water's edge, the depth is already one and a half meters or more.

The sea is clean, transparent, either calm or with small waves.
In the first half of July, the temperature is 22-24 degrees, then a gradual increase in temperature begins.

A few words about Santa Susanna herself and the surrounding area. It's more like a village.

The central street runs parallel along the railway through the entire settlement and passes into the central street of the next town - Malgrat de Mar. There is no clear boundary between these two settlements.

There are many souvenir grocery stores, cafes, restaurants on this street. In the evening there are tents with souvenirs.

In stores, the assortment is approximately the same, depending only on the size of the outlet. This applies to both products and souvenirs. Prices also differ slightly.

On Tuesdays from 9:00 to 13:00, a fair is closed and organized, where various goods and souvenirs are sold.

There is a small amusement park within a three-minute walk from the hotel.
It is better to buy products in supermarkets.
If you leave the main entrance of the hotel, turn right and go through the fields, you will get to Carrefour (its sign is visible from afar, the store is open until 22:00). If you return to the left and also go through the fields, you will get to Lidl (open until 21:30).

The brands presented in these stores are different, but the prices for similar products are about the same. In my opinion, the advantage of Carrefour is in the assortment (it is three times larger than Lidl in area), and in the fact that it is located in a shopping center, where there are many other stores besides it.

In the same room with the supermarket, opposite the central cash desks, there is a small outlet (pictured), where the nicest person, Irina, will answer all questions regarding your stay in Spain, cultural features, products, souvenirs, etc.
, offers excursions, car rental options, that is, it will help you to adapt to a new country more easily if you are in Spain for the first time.
If you want to go to Barcelona or the second city located on the coast on your own, it is most convenient to use the train. Trains run every 30 minutes.

The stop is a three minute walk from the hotel.

Tickets are easier to buy at the information kiosk (marked with a capital letter "I") opposite the bus stop. Here, in the machine at the entrance, you need to "compost" them before the trip.
The cost of a ticket to Barcelona and back is 9.80 euros. The road to the central square of Barcelona? a de Catalunya takes approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Stops are announced.
Bypassing Pla?

a de Catalunya around the perimeter, you will find an information kiosk where you can buy a detailed map of Barcelona for 1 euro, as well as issue special tourist cards that will save you money on public transport trips and entrance tickets to some museums.

In conclusion, a few words about excursions.
From my observations, different companies offer approximately the same content and cost of excursions.
When choosing, it is very important to pay attention to details. For example, during an excursion to Mount Montserrat for 40 euros, one company will simply take you to the monastery by bus, and the other to the foot of the mountain, from where you will take the train to the monastery along a road laid in the middle of a picturesque area.
By the way, in order to avoid queues, lose time and have time to look at the Madonna before the morning service, choose excursions with an early departure by 10:30, you can get to the Madonna, and there will be a lot of time to explore the entire complex. And yet, visually, the distance from the monastery to the Cross of St. Michael seems to be large, but in fact, my daughter and I climbed in 12 minutes at a quick pace.

When visiting Goel Park, it is better to buy tickets on the park's website on-line.
Firstly, it's a little cheaper, secondly, you will avoid long lines at the ticket office, and thirdly, if you arrive at the park in the afternoon, tickets for that day may already be over.
