Hello. We rested in Spain in the city of Pideda De Mar in September 2012. The town is located 60 km from Barcelona. We stayed at the Mont Palau hotel. The hotel is located almost in the center of the city, but given that the town is small, there are all hotels almost in the center. It takes about 10-15 minutes to go to the sea, it is practically not noticeable. you need to go along the main alley where there are many shops with souvenirs. The hotel is old but clean and tidy. There is a swimming pool on the third floor, but it is not suitable for swimmers (too short and too small and closes at 19:00. But having such a gorgeous beach 10 minutes walk from the hotel, it’s stupid to go to this pool on the roof. Rooms are conditionally divided into two categories. Which face the streets and which go into the so-called well (i. e. into the inner part of the building). Imagine that all the balconies go into the elevator shaft, where the sunlight does not reach well and you know everything that your neighbor does. We got in one of these rooms. They asked to change and they changed us a day later. Without scandals and tantrums. The most important thing in this hotel is feeding. I have never eaten so deliciously in any hotel. Moreover, every day there were new dishes for lunch and and for dinner. I advise if you are a coffee or tea lover, take a kettle or kettle with you. Tea can only be brewed at breakfast.
Pineda de Mar is a very quiet town. At 24:00, life in the town stops. If you are a fan of hanging out until the morning, then you are clearly not in a pineda. There are many towns nearby which, unlike Pineda, consist exclusively of hotels and cafes. There is traffic around the clock.
As for excursions. We compared prices from Russian tour operators that were presented at the hotel. (Tez tour, Pegasus, Natalie). By the way, the cheapest tour turned out to be.

1) PortAventura amusement park. Super killer place not only for adults but also for children. I don't remember exactly how much the tour cost. Approximately 55 euros. You will be offered a two day tour. It's not bad when you have a lot of time and money. We chose the one day option, but we bought express tickets for 25 euros per person. And stood in line for the coolest rides max 10 minutes. , and the people without express for 1.5 hours. That is, if you buy an additional express ticket, and do not gobble up the whole day in a cafe. You will have time to visit all the most important attractions of the park and take a leisurely stroll.
2) Excursion to Barcelona. It is a beautiful city and worth visiting. Do not take a tour from a guide. Stomp your feet and you won't see shit. You do not want to understand where you were based only on the urgently done in a huge number of photos. And turn gray and think and enjoy the moment. With a guide it's not real. Take the train to Plaza Catalunya station. And there sit on the BASTURISTIK. Where is the longest line, then you duda. By what principle they carry to describe, for a long time, but you yourself will understand everything when you sit in it. By the way, at the railway station in your city, when buying a ticket, tell the seller that you are going to Barcelona to ride the BASTURISTIK and it will give you a free ticket for it. I did not like the famous fountain in Barcelona at all. He's not worth it. Especially as a separate tour. And who was in Dubai will generally spit.
3) Excursion to France for two days. (Nice and Monaco). Very expensive, very difficult. But I think it's worth it, for those who do not plan to fly to Monaco or France in the near future. For a tick, it will even go.
4) Knight's Tournament. . TOTAL Crap…. . Please note that this is my subjective opinion and everyone we managed to meet there. So I will not describe.
