The hotel is located right on Santa Susanna Beach. The hotel was built in 1987 and renovated in 1998. In 2013, a partial renovation (elevators) was carried out. The hotel is ideal for families with children. This modern Mediterranean-style building features a white façade. The warm climate and clear water make for a pleasant holiday on the Costa Brava.More →

The weather didn’t let us down, the sea was wonderful, big waves were a pleasure for both adults and children, for very young children the shore and the entrance to the water are not suitable, only under the supervision of adults, almost immediately deep, for adults it’s normal (waist-high). The beach itself is wide, fine white sand, no debris. From the exit of the hotel there are large palm trees, you can take a picture. Sun loungers are paid, umbrellas too. Like Thais walk along the beach and offer massage, we did it several times, it's quite normal. At the end of the rest, jellyfish appeared in the sea, large and small, burning, if you accidentally touch it in the water, you will feel a slight burning sensation, then there will be redness, but that's okay, we were not overshadowed by swimming on a mattress on the waves or without a mattress, on the contrary, children and adults caught them, there was a delight. If the harness was advised, this place will be rubbed with sand. Not far away, if you walk along the shore beyond the camping camp, you will find a bay with stones, you will get great photos.
The hotel itself, of course, is a bit old, the bathrooms with a bathtub are killing, it’s just kapets and so in all hotels in Spain, the rooms really smell of antiquity in the literal and figurative sense, but we didn’t care, we only slept there, took a shower and ate. From morning to night on the sea or walking. The room was overlooking the promenade and the railway, it did not bother us at all, we lived on the second floor. Elevators really work somehow funny, but we always went down on them, since we have a child and a stroller. The food is scarce, but they found something to eat, but we are not picky in this regard. Kiwis and small plums were delicious. The husband was really upset, he loves to eat, but he was also not particularly disappointed in the general rest. The child was given a crib with sides, we slept on two combined beds, another child of 13 years old slept on his own bed. It was chilly at night with warm blankets. The room was cleaned every day, washing the floors and the bathroom. They changed towels every day, we actually had a bunch of them, they cleaned when we asked, but not when they wanted. Tipping was not given to anyone.
In the evening we walked along the promenade, there are attractions for children in 2 places. 5D cinema for 6 seats like. On Tuesdays, the market comes, you can buy beautiful dolls, like living babies, good quality swimwear, all kinds of beach bags, or tops, fruits. Lots of cafes, reasonable prices.
For children in the evening there is a small animation and a program for adults.
We didn’t swim in the pools, when we are at sea, we don’t go into the pools anywhere.
Very convenient railway and station, close to Barcelona, it is very easy to go on independent excursions, my mother and sister went on their own several times, they were completely delighted. They took great photos.
If the hotel is quite suitable without any special claims, I went out and here it is moreeeeeeeeeee.

So in order. The guys at the reception are all great, friendly, especially Olechka! ! ! They settled us in room 212 (judging by the elevators that you can’t wait for), walk 2-3 floors to the restaurant and to the street SUPER, CHARGING ! ! We are waiting for dinner, we are lying on the bed, and then I get the impression that I have a metal roof over my head, and that it is not raining, but hail. And it turns out that in the room above the floor, they just take a shower (I think, okay, it’s not night because it’s in the yard). We spent the first and second nights well, but then it all started. Annet, you wrote that everything is not true about sound insulation... and so I will NEVER AGREE with you. Two days later, two Spaniards settled in with us as neighbors. It's just a NIGHTMARE, they returned after restaurants and discos naturally tipsy. Probably everyone knows how loudly the Spaniards, Italians and the British speak.
So they were not just talking, they were SHOUTING AS A SHOUT, and there was a feeling that they were not in the next room, but right above our ear. But they not only spoke loudly (to put it mildly), they slammed the doors from the closet and bedside tables so that we thought now everything would fall apart there. We held out until 3-00 o'clock in the morning, unable to bear the call to the reception. Yes, we heard how they got a call in the room and had a conversation with them, but after that they began to be even BADER. It was on these days that we started excursions, you can imagine how after a sleepless night you can feel on them. We began to wear earplugs at night, and what do you think helped? yes no, of course, they called the reception again and again OP at the top of their lungs. It feels like this is not a hotel but a cardboard box. I traveled a lot, but I have never seen such a hotel. Thank God they left after 4 days.
Then two more women were settled in this room (foreigners, but they didn’t understand who), they also began to behave this way on the first night, but after our call to the reception, everything stopped. And we began to sleep peacefully. But on the last night, the ENGLISH drove into the hotel opposite. It was even cooler, the Spaniards will never be compared with them, NEVER. We realized that not only we were awake, but our entire hotel (judging by the call to the reception), and then we noticed that the hotel opposite was also awake. At the reception, we were told that this hotel has permission until 01-00 at night for entertainment. At 01-30 we called the reception again, they answered that they had already called the police. We went out to the balcony and watched a JUST WONDERFUL picture. The police arrived, went into the hotel and IMMEDIATELY WENT OUT, not having stayed even 5 minutes. And the "FAVORITE" British, both yelled and yelled, right in front of the police, or rather, not seeing them point blank.
Here my friend could not stand it anymore, called the reception and asked for the police phone number (luckily he has both English and Spanish to perfection). Calling the police, they told him that the car had left, he told them how they arrived, they began to get out and that they could not do anything, but could only write a fine for the hotel. Then my friend said that he was making an official statement (and the official statement was being recorded), he said that he would contact his lawyer, who would contact the Spanish Ministry of the Interior, and if they could not resolve this issue, then the issue would be decided by the Ministry. You will not believe it, after 3 minutes, the police car returns, the British are immediately dispersed, and oh my god Hurray .... SILENCE COMES.
As for the restaurant, I am not picky about food in general, for me this was a lot and still gained 2 kg.
But in relation to the hotel in which I had a friend of mine (3 stars), we were given seafood once in 11 days (since they were given every three days in a three-ruble note, and poella every day), and the cook himself handed out a spoonful , 3 mussels, and a jamon sandwich. In the treshka, jamon, shrimp and seafood lay whole trays every three days, and poella, I repeat, EVERY DAY.
As for the pool, nowhere is there such a thing that there are no mattresses and towels on the sun loungers in the four, this is possible only in the three.
As for the cleaning of the rooms, there are no complaints at all. We were given 5 shampoos and gels, maybe because we constantly talked to her, she even congratulated me on my birthday, since the hotel didn’t congratulate me at all (this is also the first time). The only thing I went to the Internet was to read the congratulations, and Olechka personally congratulated me.
Now the internet. Where is it seen, where is it heard that wi-fi is PAID??? ?
I also see this for the first time, and moreover, 5 euros per DAY, and not a day. As Olechka said, they introduced it 5 days before our arrival. In threes for FREE, and here is a four. Horror!
All this we wrote to them in wishes. And in conclusion, I want to say that this is by no means a four, and they have nothing to put a three for. I have never written a review in my life but this hotel is worth it. I understand that Spain is in crisis, but I can’t say this about the hotel, the hotel is ON THE STOP!! ! ! Is this a crisis for you? ? ?

And this is the first hotel about which I decided to write a review so that people do not repeat our mistake and NEVER go to this terrible hotel, however, as in all hotels of the chain H. TOP (we were in the hotel of the same chain in Kaleila for 2 days).
The hotel stinks so much that it is impossible to breathe. And everywhere. In the corridors - dust (probably from old vacuum cleaners), in the dining room - some sour food, in the rooms - mold. The hallway has a carpet with frayed edges.
Once in the room, we were shocked - the curtains were really moldy, the blankets and bedspreads were all dirty, so it was scary to even touch them. Furniture is old and falling apart. When I threw back the sheet, there was some kind of bug (something like a wood lice). There is no ventilation in the bathroom, the faucets work halfway, it is almost impossible to regulate the water temperature, the bathtub itself is falling apart and in some places puttied.
We thought that we were so unlucky with the number, but on the day of departure we extended the room and they gave us another one, exactly the same.
Elevators work as God sends. It is impossible to understand where he is going and where he will arrive. Calling is also not the first time.
The staff is lazy and doesn't really explain anything. Everything has to be figured out by ourselves and very actively.
Even in this network, a completely debility system - instead of an all icnlusive bracelet, they issue cards with a photo that you need to carry with you all the time and present on demand. Drinks can only be taken with her and only one drink in one hand at a time. And the line to the bartender needs to be long, especially at dinner and lunch.
The food is so-so, there were several delicious meat dishes. Fish - pangasius, cooked well, rarely mussels - not tasty. Fruits - unripe pineapples, peaches, tasteless watermelons, bananas and apples - nothing. I won’t say anything about breakfast, because there is simply nothing to eat.
Internet only at the reception for 10 euros 10 minutes, slows down terribly.
The only plus is that the hotel is on the beach and that the train runs close, which takes 1 hour to Barcelona.
I'm not picky and I think that you only need to sleep in a room, but it's scary to sleep in these hotels.
This is by no means a 4 star hotel, 2 stars at most.
And Santa Susanna herself is very personal.

The number was changed twice - the result is the same. we had two rooms with the children, but the children did not stink. Leave a tip for cleaning or not - the result is the same. The staff of the restaurants and the bar is super. The hotel is certainly old, this is a big minus, even if you don’t spend so much time in the hotel, but you go there, and when it’s miserable around you, it’s not very somehow. all directed towards them. I would never go there again, who gave it 4*? it is better to go to an expensive three than to a cheap four. Next to us was the Indola Park Hotel, we visited and examined it, it’s very good, you can put it 5 * compared to others, you can’t describe everything, even though it’s across the road from the beach, the passage to the sea is very convenient and not a long walk, I advise

Rested at the ROYAL SUN hotel for 2 weeks in July 2008. Almost the only big plus of this hotel is the location right on the beach (50 meters from the sea) and also the price / quality ratio. A ticket for 3 people (2 adults, 1 child 12 years old) together with the flight cost 3.000 euros! Almost the only big plus of this hotel is the location right on the beach (50 meters from the sea) and also the price / quality ratio. A ticket for 3 people (2 adults, 1 child 12 years old) together with the flight cost 3.000 euros! Although the 4 * hotel clearly does not pull either in numbers, or in territory, or in service. But first things first. Location of the hotel on the beach, right in the center of the town of Santa Susanna, train stop 10min. walk. Across the road is a promenade with a large number of shops and market stalls that open from 6 pm and sell mostly souvenirs. Supermarket Carefur, where you can buy almost everything, and much cheaper than in the shops of the tourist area - 10min. from hotel. Barcelona can be reached by train in 1 hour. ticket price 3.2 euros, to Port Aventura in 3 hours. on a special bus, or in 2.5 hours. by train, but with a transfer. Also in Santa Susanna there are discos, casinos, recreation parks.
The territory of the hotel itself is tiny, however, like many other hotels in Spain, 1 restaurant (buffet), 2 bars (in the hotel and on the street), 2 small pools (1 of them is a paddling pool), a small playground for small children and that is all. There are no shops on site, but there is Internet access. All rooms are located in building 1.75% of them with sea views, almost all rooms have a side sea view, but it is enough. For a sea view nothing extra paid and did not ask. All rooms have a fairly spacious balcony. The room itself is small, but the necessary furniture is in good condition - beds, a table with chairs, bedside tables, a wardrobe, air conditioning, which by the way works at any time and at night too, even when you are not in the room you can leave it on, very convenient. The bathroom is quite spacious, there is a bath, bidet, hair dryer, plumbing is new. But there is a problem - there seems to be no ventilation in the bathroom at all or it is very bad, so sometimes it was simply impossible to enter the bathroom, you had to open the door to the balcony to ventilate. Yes, there was a refrigerator, it is also a mini-bar and a TV with one Russian channel - ORT.
Service: the room was cleaned daily, mostly after 10 am, when we were on the beach, there were no complaints about cleaning, no tip was left. Towels were also changed every day, there were also soap, gels, shampoos, though the maids did not want to replenish their number for some reason. The maids practically do not speak English, they had to explain themselves by signs. There are no Russian-speaking staff at the reception, one of the administrators knows a certain number of Russian words, that's all, however, for those who know English or German, there will be no problems at the reception. In general, it seems that it would be possible to put the hotel for service 4, if not for a few BUT. Firstly, the checkout time in all hotels in Spain is 10:00, we had a bus to the airport at 12:30, we asked to extend the room for 2 hours and received a categorical refusal, including not agreeing to move us to these 2 hours to another free room. Even $ did not solve anything, although in other hotels in Spain the number could be extended for free, not to mention other countries, such as Turkey or Greece, where there were no such problems. Secondly, in the hotel lobby there was always an unbearable smell of bleach, mixed with fragrances, which the maids generously sprayed every day, this is the question of ventilation. I don’t understand, is it really impossible to make a normal sewer once in a 4 * hotel ?? ? Thirdly, in the restaurant during lunch and dinner, you had to stand in line at the bar for drinks, although in other 4 * hotels drinks are served by waiters.
There were no sports at the hotel or on the beach. No gym, volleyball, football, tennis courts, etc. There was only a pool table (pool) in the bar for $ and a tennis table. On the beach, you could ride a banana, a scooter, fly a parachute behind a boat, that's about all.
Meals - we took FB +, i. e. Full board with drinks during lunch and dinner. The food is of high quality, quite tasty, but monotonous, there were always 4-5 meat dishes - pork, beef, turkey, fish. There was practically no seafood except for fish, 2 times in 2 weeks we were cooked mussels and that was it. Vegetables - were, although the lack of fresh cucumbers was sometimes surprising. There are many fruits - apples, pears, bananas, peaches, pineapples, watermelons, melons were every day. Salads are very few 2-3. There are pastries, but less and less tasty than in Turkey. Ice cream - every day for lunch and dinner. The breakfast buffet was very poor, except for scrambled eggs and ham and cheese, and there was nothing to eat. Drinks - free juices (from bottles), cola, mineral water, local draft beer (undiluted and good in taste), wine from barrels (red, pink and white - I recommend). Other drinks for $. There were always empty seats in the restaurant, there were no queues, sometimes only for drinks, which I wrote about above.
The sea near the hotel is excellent, the water is clean, especially in the morning, the entrance to the sea is good, although it is already deep after 5 meters from the shore. The beach of the hotel is municipal, like all beaches in Spain, but clean, coarse sand. Sun loungers and umbrellas for 5 euros. But sunbeds are not needed, and umbrellas can be bought at the nearest store for 10 euros. There are a lot of people, but you can always find a place, especially if you come before 10:00. Or go along the coast for 50-100m.
There seem to be animators in the hotel, but I have never seen them, in general, no one will entertain you except yourself. Evening shows in the hotel bar are NO, it is better to go to neighboring hotels or to a disco in Santa Susanna.
Mostly Russians, Germans, British, Poles lived in the hotel. There are many elderly couples and families with children, there are practically no younger ones. And finally, about the operator Tez Tour, through which we took a ticket. Met normally, transfer from the airport 1.5-2 hours, but the bus does not drive up to the hotel, you have to go with things across the road, although the buses of other operators drive up without problems. The guide at the hotel only sells excursions, and without bothering to talk about them, don’t expect any other information about the hotel, Spain, Barcelona from him, and by the way, he doesn’t give his mobile number either, you have to call the office for all questions. I recommend that you go to Barcelona yourself, get off the train on Plaza Catalunya, buy a ticket for a tourist bus and go around all of Barcelona, you can go out as many times as you like per day. You can also travel on foot, everything interesting is located in the city center. You can also move around the city by electric trains, tickets - 1.3 euros, very fast and inexpensive, BUT BEWARE OF PICKPICKPICK PACKERS, THERE ARE VERY MANY OF THEM, TO STAY WITHOUT MONEY IS VERY EASY! I recommend visiting the Gothic quarter, seeing Gaudí 's houses, going to Park Gü ell, walking along La Rambla to the promenade, going to the Aquarium and the Zoo. You can also have time to see the fountains yourself, the performance starts at 21.30. The last train to Santa Susanna is at 22.30, it takes 15 minutes to get to the station. fast step. Of the excursions, I recommend Montserat, there is probably no bullfighting - a rather difficult sight and it is unlikely that you will sit out to the end. Knightly tournament - the show itself is interesting and then the Flamenco dances, very professional. And of course, PortAventura, you have to go there for the whole day - you are guaranteed to enjoy it!
It seems to be all, summary - the hotel has a good price / quality ratio, excellent location on the beach, normal food, cons - see above.
Good luck!
