The hotel is located in the upper left corner of the city on a small hill, it takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from it to the sea. Check-in was quick, at the reception they only took one passport for a day and issued a piece of paper, which notes the food. We were not charged a tax for staying at the hotel, motivating this with a "gift from the hotel" - nice.

We got a triple room - with a double and a single bed. The room is quite standard for a "troika": there is a wardrobe with a sufficient number of hangers, a couple of chairs, a table, a large mirror, a balcony, in turn, also furnished. The room has a TV, air conditioning and a safe (the latter is definitely paid, I won’t say the cost, since we didn’t use any of the above). Bathroom is ordinary. There are enough towels, but with soap, as some wrote, there are problems, since a small “hotel-type” piece is given. So an extra piece of "double", taken with you, will not be superfluous.

Hairdryer can be borrowed at the reception, giving 10 euros as a deposit. Iron is paid and in the room is also missing.

Separately, I want to say about access to the Internet. At the reception, upon request, a piece of paper with a login and password for the hotel Wi-Fi is issued, please note - these data are valid for only one device at a time! That is, it will not work to use them in parallel, say, on a phone and a tablet. Moreover, before entering a login on another device, you must first log out of the account on the first one. By the way, if the hotel network does not catch on one or another floor, it does not matter: the login is also suitable for the network of the neighboring Mar Blau hotel, which we used in the room. Another problem: after a certain time after connecting, you have to enter your login and password again - the system does not remember it and displays the login page at the most inopportune moment.
In general, a SIM card from a local mobile operator can save, but not quite: 1 GB of traffic costs Orange in the region of 10 euros, but you cannot distribute the Internet to other devices. You can have Vodafone, but gigabytes are even more expensive - about 15 euros.

The room is cleaned daily, towels are changed every day, soap, shower gel and shampoo are provided as needed.

For food: we took breakfast and dinner, so I can’t say about lunch. However, the rest is a solid five. Having visited several European triples, I can say that President has the best variety and quality of dishes so far that I have tried, and can even compete with the "fours". For breakfast, there is a relatively large variety: from breakfast cereals and yogurts to different varieties of sausages, sausages, cheeses, scrambled eggs, omelets and other things. There are also vegetables and a large number of fruits (grapefruit, pineapple, melon, watermelon, etc. ), pastries.
The contingent is mostly older, young people, apparently, prefer to have fun in the city.

It is best to come to the sea by 9 o'clock in the morning - and the water is clean, and you can choose the right place on the beach. Noisy European youth pull up in the afternoon.

In Calella itself, in addition to the main street, I advise you to visit the park, as well as climb to the lighthouse. To the left of the gate leading to it, there is a path to the cliff. From there, a wonderful view of the entire beach opens up and you can take great photos.

We took excursions from a tour operator's guide, as prices in private travel agencies differed within a couple of euros in one direction or another. We went on a two-day excursion to Nice / Monaco, to Carcassonne, a sightseeing tour of Barcelona and Girona / Figueres. We were most impressed by the first excursion, so I advise you to save it towards the end of the holiday, and not use it at the beginning, as we did.
On our own, we went only to Barcelona, the next day after a sightseeing tour of the city. Tickets are bought at the railway station, the attendants speak English and will be able to help with their purchase. The road to Barcelona takes approximately 1:45, you arrive at Plaza Catalunya.
