Most of all in this hotel I liked its employees - friendly people who will always help you if they understand. Yes, and they will also understand you almost always, the main thing is to know a few words in English. I was told that English is not popular in Spain, so I always used local greetings (which I managed to remember) to start with. If you say "Ola! " or "Buenos dias! " and smile, they will gladly help you and smile back. However, almost everyone with whom I communicated knew English to a sufficient extent. Also, one of the girls at the reception, Agata, who worked in the evenings, speaks excellent Russian.
The rooms are modest and clean, I really got a view of the wall of the neighboring hotel, but this was completely unimportant to me. They said that the hotel had poor soundproofing, and this is generally true, although I did not suffer from this - my neighbors were either absent or silent. The noise of some units from the street was a bit disturbing, but it was easy to avoid by closing the window (in September it is already quite cool at night, so I did not even close it because of the noise). There is a bath with a shower, which after a day of wandering somewhere is very good.
The bed is made properly, but if you drag sand into the room, it may not be swept. Swans are not knitted - not from anything, but they left me a touching note: "Gracias! " (thanks for the tip).

The restaurant is good, the food is delicious, take a couple of apples for lunch and dinner - they replace drinks well. For breakfast it is better to arrive at 8.00, for dinner after 20.00 - at other times there are too many people. "Not free, not free! " one old lady told me with a smile. Near the hotel there are already two travel agencies - from Taz Tour and Natalie Tours, if one is closed, you can ask in the other - they can tell you a lot of useful things, how to get there, for example.
Not much entertainment. There is billiards and... something else, I did not look closely. Tiny pool.
The municipal beach is five minutes walk. I liked it much more than the private beach of the Holiday Taba 4 * hotel in Egypt. There are no Bedouins, it's clean, no rubbish floats in the water. Yes, and the Mediterranean Sea was better for me than the Red - no corals, no hedgehogs, and shoes are not needed (although they are sold in abundance here).
It takes about 10 minutes to go to the station. In general, they didn’t deceive me that here it’s 3 *, then in Egypt it’s 4 *.
But if you want a passive beach holiday, then this hotel, Malgrat de Mar, and Catalonia in general, is probably not for you.
