You know, dear friends, the ancient Arabs were right when they considered Spain to be a magical land with a gate to paradise. I have twice been on the island of Mallorca, the memories of which still continue to warm my soul, therefore, having chosen the mainland of this country for a summer vacation, I did not doubt for a minute that the choice was right. Why didn't you choose Mallorca? This summer we decided to relax with children, and to enjoy all its delights, it’s better not to take children to Mallorca : -) On the recommendation of friends, we decided on the hotel most suitable for a family holiday - Estival Park became it, booked a room in an apartment, and - here we are at the airport in Barcelona.
1. Hotel, territory and apartments.

The hotel boasts a large and well landscaped area, everything is very clean and well maintained (all the photos you saw on his website are true). The hotel is located in the town of La Pineda, across the road from the seafront, consists of 3 main 5-storey buildings, separated by fences (each building has its own swimming pool with a recreation area around, its own restaurant, its own bar and even its own evening show program ) and 3 fenced areas of apartments, which are located in the depths of the territory, closer to the sea. I am attaching a map of the hotel territory to my review, on which you can familiarize yourself with the location of all buildings. I can’t say anything about the rooms in the main buildings - I haven’t been and I don’t know what is there and how, but the apartments are very, very pleased. Bungalows with apartments, 2- and 3-storey, located inside a fenced area (entrance to the territory - by electronic card) around the pools, consist of a spacious veranda and a room in which a comfortable, fully equipped with everything necessary for life (dishes, blenders, juicers, microwaves, refrigerator, washing machine) kitchen.
On the territory there is an excellent SPA-center, tennis courts, a good playground. Immediately at the exit from the hotel, on the right, there is an excellent minimarket where you can buy absolutely everything your heart desires; By the way, the prices for alcoholic drinks in it are lower than in Duty Free, but there is no difference in quality.
2. Beach and sea.
The beach is public, sandy, located across the road from the hotel. There is a small area of ​ ​ tents on the beach with sun loungers standing nearby, but you will be asked 5 euros for their use. The bulk of vacationers immediately upon arrival are purchased in shops located near the exit from the hotel with mats and sun umbrellas, and for 2 weeks they are enough for daily use. There are a lot of people resting, so the beach, despite regular cleaning, is a bit dirty. The sea, respectively, is also a bit dirty. In addition to the above, the beach has a bar (of course, paid), changing cabins, toilets and showers. The sand is hot, so do not let children go to the beach without shoes.
On the topic of water sports - there were a number of catamarans on the beach, but I never saw anyone swim on them. There is nothing more.
The entrance to the sea is gentle, in the morning it is almost always calm, the water is clear, the bottom can be seen very well.
3. Animation.
What the animators do during the day - to be honest, I don’t know, because in the daytime we never visited the pools of the main buildings, and met with them only in the kids club. In the afternoon, a poster is posted next to each restaurant, which contains a program for the evening in each of the buildings: for example, a magician will perform at the site of building No. 1 at 21:00, the Beatles will arrive at the site of building No. 2, and there will be choose Miss Estival Park. Accordingly, each of the vacationers decides what is closer to his soul, and by the hour "X" migrates to one or another site.

On the territory of the hotel there is a large and well-maintained playground and a kids club, children are under constant supervision and have fun in full.
4. Nutrition.
The food is excellent! Very tasty cuisine with a very large assortment of dishes for every taste, able to satisfy any spoiled child or adult. Wine, water and juices - for a fee. When you check in at the reception, you are given a card, which indicates the numbers of the room in which you live, and the type of food. When choosing, for example, wine, you show this card, and the waiter writes you a check, which you can pay either after the meal or on the last day when checking out from the hotel.
On the "-1" floor of the 2nd (main) building there is a restaurant, which is used by tourists who have half board, or just want to have a bite.
The service is pleasant and unobtrusive, always with a smile, very often the staff understands Russian.
5. SPA - center
I consider it necessary to say a few useful words about the SPA center: it is really good (you will see it in the photo), so I recommend everyone to visit it! A huge complex consisting of 2 buildings, one of which is two-story, chock-full of hydromassage pools. At the same time, I do not advise you to take any healing procedures or massages there, since they are performed poorly: for 50 or 60 euros they will anoint you with oil, stroke you with a hot stone and leave you to rejuvenate, after which they will say "goodbye. "
6. Excursions and trips

As elsewhere, upon arrival at the hotel, your tour operator, of course, will try to take you on a trip to local attractions (ruins, monasteries, Barcelona, ​ ​ knight's castles with knight's tournaments, the port of Aventura and something else). From all of the above, we did not take anything, but took it and went 2 days in a row to the port of Aventura. Awesome place for adults and kids alike! Fantastic holiday atmosphere and great, beautiful rides. I advise everyone to purchase tickets valid for 2 days (you won’t get around half of Disneyland in a day), giving the right to skip the line for rides. Invest your money - the park is very crowded and it's better to spend a little more money than to queue up for rides.
If you leave the hotel on the embankment, turn right and walk 100 meters, you will find yourself at the entrance to "Aqualand" - a park of water slides. We visited there too, but I can’t say anything special - well, yes, there are cool slides, but there weren’t any special impressions left.
At the exit from the hotel, students-volunteers constantly gather, who invite you to various evening and night discos in clubs and on yachts; you can trust them and respond to invitations.
7. Moral atmosphere in the hotel.
Everything is very positive, you feel at home, we liked everything. There is absolutely nothing negative about the staff. 95% of vacationers are Russian speakers. In general, it should be noted that La Pineda is the most Russified place in Spain: in almost all shops / cafes / restaurants and bars on the waterfront near the hotel there are Russian-speaking sellers and waiters, the menus are duplicated in Russian. Vacationers - everyone comes across people, but, for the most part, calm, there is no noise / fights / scandals. Russian-speaking employees work at the reception, so there will be no language barrier problems with the solution of any issues.
We were very satisfied with the hotel and the rest, I recommend it to everyone!
