A huge plus of the hotel is the location right on the beach. You go out....and you are on a huge, golden, clean beach. Thanks to the reviews of our compatriots, for which we are very grateful to them, we already knew that the TV remote control should be asked for on bail right away, because. light and TV turn on at the same time. Russian speaking employees don't bother to tell you about it. Another small note: soap and shampoo are given once and do not replenish. Everything else is rated "excellent". Cozy rooms, a balcony, a table and chairs on the balcony, a huge bathroom, clean, white towels (changed every day), a rug in front of the bath, a huge full-length mirror. Everything is very tasty in the restaurant, breakfast is a little poorer (compared to dinner) , but it all redeems a glass of chilled champagne (Cava, brut), an abundance of fruits, juices, tea, coffee, pastries... Dinners for every taste. Definitely poultry, fish, beef, pork, not to mention sausages, ham, cheeses, etc. They also cooked paella, there were Mexican dishes, there was Catalan ham, rainbow trout, swordfish, shrimp (on Friday). Special thanks to the chefs for the very tender and tasty "crab sticks" (this is on the crab claw, like a Kiev cutlet, crab meat is wound, breaded on top, and then deep-fried.
The animation is not intrusive, but very suitable for children.
La Pineda itself is a small town along the sea, from the beach you can see the hills of Port Aventura, very close. The hotel is located on the farthest edge of La Pineda, from the sea the beach of the hotel is protected by a pier, so the sea is very calm, without waves in any weather. Along the entire beach there is a pedestrian road, along which you can walk. Very beautiful street lights all along the coast, this gives an additional plus to La Pineda and the entire Costa Dorada. The sea is clean, but cold, the temperature is not posted, but it feels 24-25 degrees by 11-12 o'clock, although it is written everywhere that the warmest sea is in August. The air temperature is very comfortable 28-30 degrees, there is no sweltering heat.

A separate story requires a visit to the Port Aventura amusement park. Thanks to the feedback from Yulia from Moscow, who had a rest in this hotel in August, we saved 45 euros on tickets. Here's what you need to do: in the nearest "SUPERMERCADO" supermarket on the waterfront, at the counter near the cash register, buy one package of sweets for each family member (in our case, there were marmalades from the lollipop manufacturer), on which there is a sticker with the inscription "1 = 2" and a picture of Port Aventura. Further - you joyfully lay out and eat sweets in your room, and take these packages with you to the park. At the checkout, present these packages (do not tear off the stickers! ) And pay for the entrance tickets. We were 2 adults and a child, an adult ticket was 45 euros, showing 2 packages of sweets, we paid only for 1 adult and 1 child ticket. And mother and son paid for 2 packs only for 1 adult ticket. Entertainment in the park for every taste, the queues are long, but everything in the park is very well thought out, there is something to see and where to relax. In my opinion, it would be nice to add signs, in the dark you can get lost. Buy raincoats in advance, as so many rides are associated with water, and walking wet is not very pleasant. There are true infrared dryers, but 2 min. 2 euros, it's not realistic to dry. All locals bring their own food and drinks to the park. in the park itself, everything is not cheap, a 0.33 l bottle of water is 2.3 euros.
Regarding excursions, there are a lot of them, the cost is about 23 euros. The buses are very comfortable, the guides are highly qualified, Russian-speaking. In general, there were no problems with the language, in shops, on the bus, in restaurants they will always understand you, they will talk, they will explain everything. The most inexpensive cafe is located near the hotel, on the road towards Salou, I recommend, mussels (large plate) 8 euros, a glass of red wine 1.5 euros. The cafe in the center of La Pineda is 30% more expensive.
On Sunday, shops in Tarragona, Reus do not work. In Reus, almost all shops have a siesta from 2-5 pm. it wasn't stressful.
