We stayed at this hotel in July 2009. based on breakfast. It was believed that the Spanish treshka should meet European standards, and the reviews were quite decent. However, the hotel was disappointing. The main part of the building is located along the city street on one side, along another hotel (window-to-window) on the other. Moreover, between these two hotels there is a utility block with an extractor hood from the kitchen, which, of course, is terribly noisy and “scented”. The air conditioner works poorly. The room is small, with a balcony (but with such views it makes no sense), with old furniture, cheap plumbing, a refrigerator (they themselves call it coolbox and this is true, because it does not freeze at all) for a fee of 18 euros. The safe is also for separate money (20 euros) and with a key (! ), with which, presumably, you need to go to the beach and guard. The room leaves a feeling of staleness and wretchedness. And from 8 in the morning outside the doors of the room you hear the loud colorful Spanish conversations of the attendants. Two very small pools are located between the Pionero and Park hotels, they smell of bleach and are densely “lined” with bodies. The only plus of this hotel - feeding. Everything about breakfast was very good. Along a not very clean street (50 meters), and then along a pine grove (about the same) with noisy green parrots, you get to the municipal beach of Santa Ponsa. The beach is sandy, cleaned so-so, but the bay is very picturesque, the entrance to the sea is excellent, the sea is calm with fish and ducks. For some reason, people do not appear until 9.00 and after 19.00 there is almost no one either. We just swam before breakfast for 1.5-2 hours and in the evening, as we arrived.
Highly recommend the seafood restaurant right opposite the hotel entrance. Modest in appearance, with a not very good (away from the sea) location, but wonderful cuisine and attentive service.
In general, in my opinion, if you do not take a car, then just like a beach holiday is not a comfortable option. In 7 days we drove over 1000 km without straining: excellent roads, gorgeous views, dizzying mountain roads, wonderful beaches.
