They wanted to go to Greece - they ended up in Spain, they wanted to go to Crete - they ended up in Mallorca... And they did not regret it at all. It's only been 2 days and I already want to go back. But this is next year, but for now:

OLA! how much in this sound! . . - so they greet you with a smile, a tourist or a local resident, all Mallorcans, wherever you go. And you answer the same Ola, then Gracias, then Adios and so on. . . Some time passes, and you notice that you begin to understand some phrases of the Catalan language, and it's so nice!

Warm sea, fine as flour, white sand, palm trees, light breeze - this is inherent in many resorts. But there is a special atmosphere here. Democratic, right? There are no locker rooms, and they are not needed here... Active recreation - beach volleyball, badminton on the water - only the sound of rackets on the ball is heard; "Santa Clauses" with buckets of cocktails-ruffs on the shore; peacefully coexist with lazy vacationers - who sleeps, who reads another tabloid novel, who sips "San Miguel"... What is important for me is that there are unusually few smokers around, it pleases.

The sun is insidious, however, the heat is not particularly felt, the island is blown evenly, probably, the sand never heats up on the beach, so my Belarusians got burned on the second day. Well, well, I'll have to wait with a beach holiday, let's go to Palma. The capital of the Balearic archipelago is only 29 minutes away by bus. Why so exactly, you ask? - Yes, because the transport runs exactly on schedule, at the stops it is written how many minutes before the arrival of your bus, a stop on demand (buttons near each seat), cleanliness, space and air conditioning are a must. Everything is done for people, for your comfort.

And here we are in Palma. Is it really me in Palma de Mallorca? ! I don't believe myself. Someone will say, well, so what? but we are inexperienced tourists, we have not traveled the whole world yet, but we want to see a lot!! ! And share what you see.

Plaza de Españ a is an information center for tourists, a map in hand and go ahead! I read about the sights in advance before the trip, so we knew where we needed to visit, if possible, in a day. Protopali decently, looked too. We sat in a cafe during the siesta - laziness, sangria; oh, miracle - wi-fi is free - calls home, ICQ - where without communication in our time ?!

Our walking tour ended with an inspection of the round Bellver castle overlooking the port and the Palma embankment, and then slowly down the park and the steps along the embankment itself along the yachts, beautifully moored in such a famous port. How beautiful it is there! Evening - we return to Arenal. Dinner, again wine, ice cream and gatherings on the terrace.

Then we rented a car - we asked for a small Nissan Micra, they gave us a Seat Ibiza for the same money (no deposit, no credit cards, full insurance) - a pleasant trip. In the evening they laid the route, in the morning the navigator on the glass and forward with the song! Valldemossa, Deja, port of Sawyer, Sawyer, Fornaluch; then Cape Formentor, Arta caves, Canyamel beach - beautiful everywhere. At the exit from the caves, we got to a free "show" in the sky - the plane wrote out eights and did all sorts of intricate things, cool. We visited the restaurant "At the Demon" - delicious snails, arroz brut, Mallorcan fritto, again Sangria and the biggest bill for lunch... well, we're on vacation!

I can add that Fornalucci liked the most - silence, just an idyll. Yes, and tapas pulpo (octopuses) are cooked tastier there . . Paradise...

Paella is a separate issue. In one place I liked it, in another I didn’t really, a double impression.

And yet, now I know what it's like to cheer for football! Spanish fans are something! Our rest!! ! Match - a huge TV set is put up on the street for cafe visitors, the emotions of the locals are simply overwhelmed! goal - dancing, dancing, songs! And so all night - friendly and fun! And failure - grannies break local fans, impulsively wave their hands in annoyance, cry - that's what it means to root for their own - it's just in their blood. And this is a constant Espanya!! ! TRA-TRA-TRA!! ! still in my ears - families sing all day on the beach the day after the game. Even children 2-3 years old.

In general, Spain is something. There is much more to write, but there is no time, unfortunately. I want to go to Mallorca. But I also want to go to mainland Spain - Barcelona, Madrid, Lorette de Mar, Blanes and many, many more places in Spain. But that will be another story. . .
