I am traveling to Tenerife for the second time, I am delighted with this island and especially with its climate. I can say in advance that the island is mainly for a beach holiday - and here, in my subjective opinion, it is gorgeous. Excursions are basically a waste of your precious time in paradise and money. ABOUT THE HOTEL So, my friend and I bought a ticket to Tamaimo Tropical in advance, already in January, by early booking. By and large, I don’t have many requirements for a hotel - a balcony, silence in the room (at least at night) and normal food. 2 (!! ) months before I moved in, I corresponded with the managers of this hotel with the only request for a quiet room. The hotel manager David assured me that he would do everything possible for our safe accommodation and holiday. However, apparently, David did not succeed. In general, the Russian tourists in our race, who chose this hotel, were only us. And in principle, in this hotel we met only one Russian family. The main contingent of vacationers here - Germans, Spaniards, French and British - the reception simply lined up in front of them, trying to satisfy any request. Before us, no. Of the huge number of rooms in this hotel, we got a room from a series you can't imagine louder. The second floor overlooks the pool (in fact, almost all the rooms there have pool views, but there are 2 pools and the program of events for them is different), on which both the day and night programs were held. During the day, some crazy man yelled into the loudspeaker to the music, in the evenings, for the most part, voiceless singers performed songs from different years to the backing tracks. The very laughter that from the back was perfectly heard squeals of teenagers, hanging out until late at night, on the playground, located opposite our front door. The room itself is quite dusty, bed linen with incomprehensible yellow stains, towels in the bathroom are often full of holes or very worn out. On the very first day, realizing that we were "rolled" with the number, my friend and I went to the reception in the hope of a successful change of number. But no, we were told that there were no rooms, except for one on the 5th floor without a balcony! ! (by the way, we did not find the 5th floor in the entire building of this hotel, with the exception of one dilapidated building, standing not far from the hotel, probably intended for staff). The second day from the very morning scared us to death. An uninvited guest came to us - a local cockroach of huge size ! ! He penetrated to us through a door crack the size of a couple of fingers. None of the hotel workers hurried to help us get rid of it, and only an hour later the cleaner brought a spray for cockroach treatment! Like, your cockroach - so deal with it yourself! I have never come across such rudeness either in Tenerife or anywhere in Europe. One day I needed an iron. I came to the reception, the porter rummaged through the closet for a long time and eventually pulled out a battered little iron. The funny thing is that I had to buy (!! ) an adapter for it myself, and also pay a deposit to the hotel for it, so that I wouldn’t covet it by chance. Out of principle, I refused))) ABOUT TOUR OPERATORS The meeting at the airport itself is extremely unorganized. We sat for an hour in one bus near the airport, in the end we were transferred to another. The guide from the company Anex Tour Timur is just a shame for the company. Didn't help with the rooms, misled three times about the time and place of the meeting, as well as about the grocery stores located in the immediate vicinity of the hotel and the peculiarities of the local transport schedule. For the first time I meet a guide who stupidly came to rest in the Canary Islands (as he himself calls it) and, completely unaware of information, with confidence and self-esteem, sells left information to his own tourists. He is trying to resell people excursions that Anex buys from local travel agencies. From Anex itself, there is only one excursion - a sightseeing tour of the island, the rest are bought out at local tour bureaus and differ significantly in cost. Timur treated work carelessly, he came to our hotel with dissatisfaction (probably due to the fact that only the two of us went there) and allegedly not during his working hours, although he himself pointed to a stand with information about his visit to our hotel, but didn't show up at the appointed time. . BENEFITS The flight from the Azur company, about which I had read bad reviews before the trip, pleasantly surprised me with its clarity and punctuality. Departure to the minute, the return was also not delayed. On board, the food was very decent, I was pleasantly surprised by the super fresh Babaev chocolate in dry rations for tea, released just a couple of days ago. I also liked the food at the hotel on the all-inclusive basis. Everything is fresh, tasty and safe for our domestic stomachs, accustomed to rather insipid cuisine. Fruit was present. I especially liked the local bananas, melons and occasionally watermelons were also good. Drinks for an amateur. The water in each cooler tasted different. The most delicious in the depths of the canteen to the right of the entrance. In other coolers, there was an unpleasant aftertaste in the water (like from a tap). There was always meat and fish (not always, of course, the meat was varied, there were days when they gave one chicken and fish), they never left hungry. BEACHES Tenerife is beautiful. Of the local beaches near the hotel, I liked the nearest Chica beach the most - there are smaller waves than at the Arena, free umbrellas and showers. But in general, if you are looking for a comfortable beach holiday and wide beaches, then it is better to go to Las Americas. You can get there from Gigantos by bus, but it is quite long. In Los Gigantos, it is somewhat dull and the beaches are small bays, the largest of which is La Arena, on which absolutely all beach service, with the exception of the foot wash basin, is paid. In conclusion, it remains to be added that holidays in Tenerife can be very diverse. The island itself left only pleasant impressions. But before going here, decide what exactly you expect from the rest. And good luck with your travels, preferably not in this hotel.
