We are a married couple with a lot of experience Andrey and Elena. We rested in the apart-hotel "Flamingo Club" from 08 to 21 June 2012 from the company "Alfa-Travel", St. Petersburg. Arrived at 9 am local time, transfer - minibus, fast, comfortable. A small inconvenience immediately appeared - the lack of not only parking (it really is - paid - on the minus first floor), but an elementary entrance for cars and buses to the hotel. Therefore, we unload at the neighboring hotel "La Pinta" and walk in the opposite direction for 2 minutes. They settled us right away, they didn’t marinate at the reception until 12 o’clock, thanks for that, although for us it’s not a wonder. We met our guide Natalya Almyasheva, a lively girl who apparently decided that the professions of a guide and a realtor are one and the same. Yes, selling vacations in apartments was also part of her duties, which she brilliantly failed to do, but more on that later. Having escaped to the office, to the same minus the first floor, Natalya returned, carrying a bottle of wine, a liter package of juice and a box of tea bags, and with the words: “This is for you from the company, I’ll bring you fruit later, ” handed it all to us. Thank you, of course, but do you at least sometimes look at yourself from the outside?? ? Dear employees of Premier Holiday!! ! Unfortunately, the words about fruits remained just words... )))
We got a room (apartment T1) on the ground floor, old, not renovated, but with a view of the ocean (No. 106), and even a small garden on the terrace, in a word, the ocean view compensated for the shabby room, we are not picky people and we understand that repairs, apparently, will be done just after our departure. But what is worth mentioning in particular is the bed, or rather two lorries, shifted together. It was beyond our understanding how in the apartments where we go with families and also offer friends (family and non-family) such a miserable bed can be located !! ! Having laid out (with great difficulty!!! ) the sofa in the living room, we were even more horrified - it was impossible to sleep on "this". True, they explained to us that this is a feature of the apartments. Pull-out beds and a fold-out sofa are needed to accommodate as many people as possible in order to recoup its cost. There were ants, but this is not critical, the main thing is not to leave food for a long time in the kitchen (everything is in the refrigerator). More frightening are large palm beetles - cucaraches. It's hard to catch them alive in order to get them out of the room, and it's unpleasant to endure them around, so you can guess their fate. It remains only to regret - the kukarachi are not to blame, which looks very much like cockroaches.
In general, there is nothing to say about cleaning, it’s like about an inveterate C grade student. The towels are gray and old, they change if you ask, the bed linen has not been changed even once (for 2 weeks !!! ), the maids seemed to be running around with a rag, and the corners are all in the old web. They burst into the room with persistence worthy of a better use, as if they would be executed if they didn’t remove them now, while it’s rather difficult to explain something in English, since they simply don’t understand anything but Spanish. But all with a smile, friendly, well, for sure - a C student... If, God forbid, you are late with going to bed, then in the morning be prepared to wake up from the roar of the maids' carts that drive around the different ends of the hotel and from there try to shout to each other, informing economic and political news Las Americas. I must say right away that all these not very pleasant moments were not defining in our successful vacation here.

A lot has been written about the location of the hotel, I won’t repeat myself, I’ll just confirm - yes, it’s good, the beach is clean, beautiful, on the right - be careful - there are stones in the water. We bought food at the Mercadona, 7 minutes on foot. They fried the fish themselves, delicious sea bream, dayton, very tasty bast (although it happens rarely), awesome shrimp. You choose a fish, it is weighed for you and immediately cleaned. Cheese, jamon, Sangria, Torres wine, Dorada beer, they bought only here - high quality, inexpensive and very tasty. Guide Natalia, after a welcoming meeting, took us and another family to the Mercadona and clearly showed and told us what to buy - unfortunately, in the future, Natalia was not so willing to share information.
The next day was the so-called. "Welcome meeting". We gathered all the compatriots who had come to the hotel over the past 2 days, presented the guides to their own applause, and now we saw her - Flamingo Club Sales Director - Svetlana Klevno. Our suspicions of the insincerity of this person (everything was very smiling and feigned) later were fully confirmed (more on this in the "Presentation" section). After a welcoming speech, we were given leaflets with a plan of excursions, so that we chose and immediately gave the money here. The guides generously added sangria to us, but to their surprise, we were only honored with a survey, which cost 78 EUR. This is a good educational excursion, which became the basis of our travels by car. We visited the mirador with a view of Garachico, walked around Icod de los Vinos, tasted wines and Canarian liqueurs there, dined in a beautiful restaurant in a former monastery and crossed the island across the Teide volcano. Other excursions to Loro Park, Flamenco, about. La Gomera and others can be organized independently with the help of tour agencies and much cheaper. We used an agency that is across the street from La Pinta, 5 minutes walk from Flamingo. For example, for "Flamenco" in "Piramides de Arona" for two, we paid 84 EUR, against 156 EUR for guides. True, they had dinner and a transfer there, but we had a great walk along the coast ourselves (40-50 minutes one way), but I already wrote about food above.
Until we took the car, we walked around the neighborhood, a very beautiful promenade along the ocean, went to the Jungle Park. Be sure to visit the show of eagles, parrots, go down the high-speed chute of the unique track. There is a free shuttle bus (20 minutes). According to him, we were given all the information at the tour desk, our guide could not clearly explain to us where and what time he was going.
The next day after the review, exactly one week after our arrival, a presentation was scheduled. I didn’t want to waste a day at all, but these are the terms of the contract, we are responsible people and we believe that each party must fulfill its obligations. The reason for such a rush was never told to us, apparently a big secret! We were no longer going to waste time on the presentation, so the next day we rented a car and traveled around the island for 5 days (WV Polo 1.4 mech. , 115 EUR for 5 days, drove 700 km, gasoline - 60 EUR). A small problem is parking. You can find places about 15 minutes walk towards Adeje and to the highway - quite normal. As for parking between the Flamingo and La Pinta hotels (descent to the beach), it will not be possible to agree at the reception, since this is municipal land, not a hotel, although they could meet their guests who rent cars, even if not in a hotel.

All 5 days in the evening Natasha called us, was interested in our vacation, tried to set a time for the continuation of the presentation, but we made it clear that we would not buy a club vacation, and you should not waste time on us. In the end, we agreed to meet 2 days before our departure. We again briefly repeated the “passed” and Natasha began to mathematically calculate the profitability of a club holiday, while not naming specific amounts, how much and for what she would have to pay. It turned out that we still had a climax - a meeting with Svetlana Klevno, where she would announce everything to us, otherwise, you see, Natalya does not even know the order of numbers! Dear Premier Holiday employees, do you even know what a presentation is? Yes, for this they are expelled from work, this is called incompetence! Okay, let's move on. After we've been fooled for three and a half hours, talking about nothing, telling us a bunch of her unnecessary stories, Natalya took us to a snow-white basement office - "a room for divorce of suckers", where Svetlana joined us. I must say right away that something changed dramatically in the lively Natalya in the presence of the director, she wilted, sat without uttering a word, and looked at the boss like a rabbit at a boa constrictor, probably telepathized her state to us))). Svetlana took the bull by the horns with practiced phrases, informing us that this is the last chance in life to become the owner of a club holiday, offered us the “best” offer - to dump 14.000 EUR (instead of 24.000 EUR!!! ) for property within 1.5 years apartments, pay an annual fee from 370 to 420 EUR, and enjoy your vacation 1 week a year anywhere in the world, of course, flights and meals at our expense, to another aparthotel - that means another plus 100 EUR for an exchange. We politely declined, which was followed by the murderous phrase “You don’t look like poor people! ” Yes, we know this, but no one asks you to evaluate! Then Svetlana rummaged through her bins and pulled out a piano in the bushes: “In order not to lose touch with you, we will host you for 1 week in the club for 3000 EUR for three years while you think and make a positive decision. This offer is for young couples, but for you it is an exception. ” I realized that it was time to end the show, it was already getting dark, and I said, “Let's exchange phone numbers in order not to lose touch, but for now we are not going to pay for club holidays. ” You should have seen Svetlana, she raked up all the papers lying on the table, uttering a phrase that betrayed her state of irritation, well, education, if you like: “Do you think we need your phones? ” and left the office, Natalia quickly trotted behind. We are a little taken aback by such rudeness returned to the room.

I wanted him to help our compatriots better plan their vacation, protect them from unnecessary unrest. And if you are tormented by the question of whether to go or not to go to Tenerife, definitely go to the apartments. After all, the climate, nature, landscapes, the ocean do not depend on the competence of the guide. Self-catering is a big plus here. As for shopping, it is quite decent, although, for example, in Thailand it is no worse. Well, for the sake of Loro Park, Jungle Park, Monkey Park, Mount Teide, La Arena Beach, Siam Park, and many other beautiful places on the island, you can take a plane ticket here without hesitation.
In conclusion, I will say that our vacation was a success, 2000 photos and 5 hours of video are a pleasant reminder of Tenerife, we will definitely return here!
