Review:

We visited Paris from 9 to 16 April 2013 together with a child of 9 years old.

To begin with, I’ll make a reservation that two months before the proposed trip there was an attempt to book the Fiat Hotel on my own - it didn’t work out, because all the places for this period in the hotel were bought out. As a result, I had to book a tour package (hotel accommodation + flight) at the agency. At first we booked a ticket through the operator "Pax Group" - a week of waiting, and the hotel is not confirmed. The reason, according to a travel agency employee, is the high popularity of "Fiat" among compatriots. Further, we booked a ticket through the operator "Transaerotour" - the hotel was confirmed.

Flight.

Transaero flew from Vnukovo. The Boeing-737-300 aircraft is very clean and tidy.
Large distance between rows (we had 14 rows). This time, Transaero distinguished itself - they issued personal eye patches (for sleeping), mouthwash, and a traditional children's set with a game, felt-tip pens, a notebook and stickers. The food on board was not particularly surprising - again, all the same familiar pancakes and scrambled eggs.

But on the way back, the food was better (dinner) - meat with pasta and chicken with rice to choose from, Olivier salad in a box, cold cuts, and all sorts of traditional little things like rolls, mayonnaise, butter, etc. From drinks-cola, sprite, juices, tea-coffee. Wine was offered to those who wished both on the way there and on the way back.

Meeting at the airport and transfer

We landed in Orly, went through passport control very quickly, and also quickly got our luggage. The tour operator stated that the representative of the meeting party (in this case, France Car Tour) would wait at the airport exactly 1 hour after landing, and no more.
I was a little worried about this, but as a result, we were among the first to meet the guide, and waited about half an hour for the others. After waiting for everyone, the guide Nadezhda took us to the bus. Walked for about 5 minutes. While walking to the bus, the weather turned bad, it began to rain.

We drove to the hotel for about 2 hours, on the way Nadezhda gave us all the necessary information, told us about excursions and made an appointment at 16-30 at the Opera.

resettlement

According to the reviews, I knew roughly where I was going, so I did not expect anything supernatural from this hotel. It was also clear from the reviews that there was a lottery with the rooms in this hotel. We, like some others who wrote reviews below, were not lucky with the number. Gave room number 637, overlooking the "notorious" well, 6th floor. One flight of stairs had to drag a suitcase, because the elevator only goes up to the 5th floor.

I didn’t swear, I really need to shake my nerves. We only slept in the room, so I didn't bother.
In general, there are normal rooms in the hotel. For example, we heard about room 208, which has 3 beds, two windows, a full bath, and a street view. But we, of course, did not "shine" like this, because this number is intended for three people.

Number

In principle, I can not say anything bad about the room itself. The room is very small, but it has everything you need. We had one double bed, two bedside tables, a mirror, a table and a chest of drawers. There is no wardrobe as such in the room, but there were plenty of hangers.

After reading reviews that you need to take a hair dryer at the reception, I brought my hair dryer with me. In vain carried - in the bathroom it is. The bathroom is quite normal - everything is clean, renovated.

The view from the window, as I already wrote, on the well and on the roof, on the adjacent wall there are inscriptions like "Vasya was here. " A small patch of sky is visible above the roof.

The room was cleaned daily. Garbage was taken out, towels (we threw dirty ones on the floor in front of the shower room) were changed.
Bed linen, as I understand it, was not changed, only the bed was made. We left tips. There were no insects in our room.

We were not very lucky with the weather, it was cool all the time of our stay, it rained from time to time. Only the last two days the weather has pleased: the sun and +19-22. And yet, the room was heated. It was very stuffy, so we slept with the window open. There is no air conditioning in the room.

There was no Wi-Fi in the room, but you could go down to the 1st floor, it catches there. Wi-Fi password and a map of Paris will be given to you at the reception.

Nutrition

Breakfast at the hotel is quite modest - yogurt, croissant and crispy bun. For us personally, these buns had a fairly tough crust (teeth in place, just a slightly different problem related to digestion), and we took them with us, and then fed the birds in the parks. Disposable jam, cheese and butter can be taken in unlimited quantities. Muesli of two types.
Drinks - orange juice (yuppies) and coffee (espresso, cappuccino, cocoa). You can also pour just hot water (for those who prefer tea there are also tea bags), or milk or even soup.

If someone does not have enough of this set of products, you can buy goods at the nearby Monoprix store (cuts, cheeses, sweets, fruits, etc. ) and take them from the refrigerator. All food packages are signed by room number and handed over to the reception.

We often bought strawberries (at 3.89), blackberries (I don't remember the prices), juices at Monoprix. We were also strictly warned that it was impossible to eat in the room, but we carried strawberries and ate calmly. We also drank juice in the room. I don't see anything criminal in this.

My son really enjoyed eating at the Asian eatery. There you could take away food, or you could eat at the table. The seller will warm up all the food for you and put it on the plates.
For 7 euros, they ate together with a child quite satisfyingly (a box of shrimp + a box of rice, a box of chicken + a box of noodles, a bottle of water). What is called, "cheap and cheerful. "

There is a bakery opposite the hotel. We often ate cakes with fresh fruits, pasta and other tasty treats there for an afternoon snack.

And so, basically, we ate at the Galeries Lafayette. If you exit the escalator on the 5th floor, then you need to go to the right (past the souvenir shop, past the tea shop) and see it to the end. Portions in this cafe are quite large, a good variety of dishes and a beautiful view from the windows. We really liked salmon, we always took it.

And my son also enjoyed ice cream there (a shop right on the territory of the cafe). To eat plus drinks such as juice and bottled water for two with a child came out to about 25-30 euros. And if you take the "menu", it will, of course, be even cheaper.
I saw how some of our compatriots of retirement age took a portion for two.

On the last day of our stay in Paris, we went with friends to the Leon de Bruxcelle restaurant. I ordered mussels "a la Provence" (delicious! ), I took the children's menu for the child, which included a saucepan with mussels, cola and a Viennese waffle for dessert, they also took a free carafe of water. We paid 28 euros. Quite acceptable, I think.

Infrastructure

As has been repeatedly written, the infrastructure in the area of the hotel is very developed. Metro Blanche, bus stop 68 and 30, shops, cafes, restaurants, pharmacies, a bank - everything is within walking distance.

The only thing I would like to warn against the shops of the Arabs, so that others do not get the way we did. They bought strawberries from the Arabs in a shop. It was at one o'clock in the morning when we were returning from Disneyland. No restaurants and shops were open, and the child wanted to eat something. As a result, instead of strawberries, they bought a box full of rot!
It was impossible to eat, so I had to throw it away.

And now I will write what means of transport we used to get from the hotel to the sights.

BEFORE OPERA

We went to the Opera, mostly on foot. On the day of arrival at 16-30 was scheduled a meeting with the guide at the Opera. Just in case, we left early. The tour operator gave us a diagram, where it was detailed how and where to go from the hotel, but still, we got confused. We went back, asked again at the reception, and went again, well, not without the help of passers-by, nevertheless, we figured it out and reached : -) It is not at all necessary that someone will have such problems as we have. I just have topographic cretinism and that says it all : -)

You can also get to the Opera by bus 68, the stop of which is located near the hotel. Tickets can be bought from the driver (2 euros). We bought CARNE (10 tickets at once for 11-60 euros, it seems) directly in the Opera metro station, from the cashier.

TO THE LOUVRE
The Louvre can be reached by bus 68. He drives right into the gates of the Louvre. Entrance to the Louvre through the Pyramid. Adult ticket 11 euros, children (under 18) - free of charge.

TO THE PARK OF THE TUILIES

As well as to the Louvre, on the 68 bus. Exit to the right, and go to the Carousel Arch. Next is the park.

TO THE EIFFEL TOWER

The Eiffel Tower can be reached by bus 30. Stop near m. Blanche (Moulin Rouge will be behind, on the right hand). You need to go to the final stop - Trocadero. Get off the bus, cross the road at the traffic lights, go right.

The Tower was climbed to the 3rd level. Adult ticket - 14.50 euros, children - 10 euros.

BEFORE AQUARIUM

Bus 30 to Trocadero. Go down, the Aquarium will be on the left side, if you look at the Tower from the front.

Adult ticket - 19.90 euros, children - 12.90 euros.

TO THE TRIUMPHAL ARCH

We took bus 30 to the Sharlle De Golle L Etoille stop.

We climbed the Arc de Triomphe on foot, but you can also take the elevator.

Adult ticket-9.50 euros, children-free.

TO SACRE CORE
The entrance to the Sacre Coeur is free.

We traveled to Sacré Coeur on a tourist train called PROMOTRAIN. If you are facing the Moulin Rouge and Metro Blanche, then the PROMOTRAIN stop will be on your left, near the ventilation shaft, where everyone likes to take pictures. Children's ticket - 4 euros, adult - 6 euros. Tickets must be kept, because they are valid both there and back. We drove to the Sacré Coeur, walked around, and got back on the train. He brings it back to m. Blanche.

TO LA VILLETTE PARK

We sat down on m. Blanche, went to m. Stalingrad, made a transfer to the orange branch to the station. Port de Pantin. We walked past the information pavilion to Cite Scence. But it would be more convenient, probably, with Port de la Vilette.

The cost of the program in La Villette Cite des enfants + Geode cinema: adult-18.50 euros, children-15 euros.

BEFORE DISNEYLAND

We got to the Opera, went down to the subway. Ticket for RER bought at the box office. They asked for a ticket to Disneyland, there and back, they gave us 2 tickets each. Cost one way: adult 6.7 euros, children (up to 9 years old inclusive) - 3.35 euros.
If you stand with your back to the cashier, then on the right you will see the transition to RER, line A (red) st. AUBER. You need to go towards Marne-La-Vallee, to the final one. Keep your tickets, because the ticket must be validated 2 times (at the entrance and at the exit).
