Nearby is the lovely Berkeley Square. To the west, Hyde Park is a 10-minute walk, to the south - at the same distance - Piccadilly Street with access to Green Park and Buckingham Palace, not far from Soho with its cafes, theaters, shops, not far from Oxford Street. In general, everything is nearby, within walking distance. The hotel itself is very cozy, designed in the old English style, even the modern elevator inside is upholstered with tapestry with antique wooden frames around the mirrors and a stylish chandelier. There are always several porters inside and sometimes outside the hotel, ready to catch a taxi for you, open the door, help with luggage or just wish you a pleasant day. Everyone is very friendly. There are Russians among the porters and among the restaurant staff (we sometimes came across them). Upon arrival, such a Russian guy told us everything in detail and consulted. On the ground floor there is a reception hall flowing into each other, a stylish library where you can drink tea or something stronger, a bar, 2 restaurant halls. Free Wi Fi, stationery in the room from tape, scissors, paper clips, etc. to a keyboard and mouse. Our twin room for two beds is probably one of the most modest, but very comfortable normal size with comfortable armchairs, a table with an aged mirror surface, very original, a good bathroom with everything you need. Pleasant little things: evening room service with a French candy biscuit at night, the Independent morning newspaper, which is hung in a bag on the door handle (when checking in, they ask if they need a morning newspaper), a complete tea and coffee set with a teapot for tea and a teacupfor coffee.
