It turned out to be that rare case when a hotel site offered prices lower than on aggregators. And, if a tourist registers on the Grange network website, then during their further stay, some pleasant little things await him, such as a daily bottle of water in the room and slippers. So, I recommend everyone to register first, then book.

This was our second stay at the Grange hotels in London after Grange St. Paul 5*. Then we were very pleased. Grange Clarendon is located a stone's throw from the British Museum and Russell Square. In 15 minutes you can walk to Kings Cross and the British Library, in 20 - to Covent Garden, Soho or the Bank of England. The Dominion Theater and Oxford Street are 10 minutes' walk away.
In general, Bedford Place, on which the hotel stands, is a remarkable place: it is formed by two long four-story Georgian buildings, in which there are a dozen hotels and apartments, half of which belong to the Grange chain. On one side the street ends in Russell Square, on the other - in Bloomsbury Square. Very quiet and nice place.

The rooms were pleasantly surprised by their size and equipment. The simplest rooms in Clarendon are of the superior category and are furnished, in addition to the bed, with two more sofas, a coffee table, a tea table with two armchairs, a fireplace (decorative), various bedside tables and shelves. The furniture is wooden, inlaid, the sofas are a little "tired". The size of the room is unique for London - a room without a bathroom, probably 27 meters. The ceilings are very high.
The tea and coffee set amused me with its location (I'll try to attach a photo): a large box on the wall near the front door at eye level with small drawers. In the large one there is a teapot and cups, in three small ones there are tea bags, sugar and milk, respectively. The big box is connected to the socket.

In mid-November, they were already heating, so much so that we kept the windows open both day and night - the regulator on the battery did not work. The bathroom had one more window and another battery, so it could be adjusted as needed. There is no air conditioning in the room.
The soundproofing in the hotel is excellent - you can't hear your neighbors, there are carpets in the corridors and many partition doors.
TV, hair dryer, safe, soap and shampoo - everything is the same as everywhere else. Built-in wardrobe with enough hangers. There is no ironing board and iron. At the reception you can borrow kits for shaving, brushing your teeth and sewing.
Beds are comfortable, linen is clean.
The bathroom is large, after renovation, with a bathtub.
The only serious complaint I have personally to the hotel is the idiotic shower attachment. A watering can without a hose is tightly embedded above the bathtub, and below there is a short faucet for drawing water. This is not the first time I have come across this in hotels and I always wonder - how do they (owners, designers, builders) imagine the process of washing in the shower?

Breakfast is included in the room rate. We had a continental but saw a hot English breakfast being served at adjacent tables.
Continental is quite on the level. Coffee, tea and toast are brought by the waiters, on the buffet there are several types of cheese, ham, boiled eggs, fruits, yoghurts, jams in jars, juices, milk and muesli / cereal. The restaurant is very cozy.
The hotel provides tourists with umbrellas during the rain, you need to ask at the reception.
Despite the fact that the building is old and low-rise, it is equipped with a modern elevator.
I can recommend this hotel to all categories of tourists.
