The address of the hotel was not familiar to any taxi driver. In fact, it turned out that the hotel (an ordinary private house) is located in the very slums of Gonio, where packs of stray dogs ran.
But the adventure didn't end there. Arriving at the place around midnight, we were met by the administrator and, without a twinge of conscience, said that our room had been rented and they were not waiting for us here. I quote: “We expected you at 12-00, because you did not arrive at the time, your number was handed over. I emphasize that the room was booked and paid in full 2 weeks before arrival.
Because it was, to put it mildly, very uncomfortable at the thought that we would have to look for another room at night, tired in a foreign country in an unknown city, we managed to agree to spend the night in the staff room.
Half the next day was spent contacting a travel agent in St. Petersburg to find alternatives.
Therefore, if you want to spoil your vacation or your nerves, book a room at the Sheriff Calder Hotel!
P. S. What finished off, because the attitude of the staff to the situation. Until the last moment, they made us feel guilty for the current situation and continued to stick to our line without a drop of guilt.

The Georgian authorities closed the road for 1 month. Our vacation has been cancelled! We phoned the owner Irakli Nutsubidze, he said take tickets - fly in. . . They explained: for us 2 adults + 2 children it is expensive, unfortunately we will not come. And then it began: I will not return your money / I will return your money / call tomorrow / call your son / brother / matchmaker in a week.... In short, a sea of humiliation for your money + spoiled impressions of the country and a particular person. He promised to return 100 US dollars, but then he completely stopped contacting me by phone, Skype, WhatsApp. Apparently blacklisted us. The moral is: don't mess with dishonest people. There are many hotels, choose where you will be treated with respect! Have a nice holiday, but not here!! !
