This year my husband and I rested in Georgia for the first time. The rest left an indelible impression not only about the country, about nature, about the sea, about food and living conditions, people were especially impressed. The hotel staff are all great fellows, I would like to express special admiration to the chefs who cook very tasty and just wonderful women. We lived in paradise among the mountains, forests and clouds, saw and enjoyed the chic, clear sea, wonderful eucalyptus air, an abundance of flowers, all kinds of plants, exotic trees and a mountain river. The road to the sea is just a walk in the botanical garden, despite the fact that everyone focuses on not a small distance to the sea. But for those who love nature like we do, the road will not be far. The hotel provides the possibility of delivery to the sea and back, but to be honest, we used this service sometimes just to chat with Gela, that's the name of the guy who carries people. You can go anywhere, there are no problems, Malkhaz's brother Nukzar takes people wherever they need without any problems, and on excursions too. On the terrace of the hotel there is a swimming pool with clean, cool water where you can relax at a convenient time for everyone. The singing of birds in the morning is such that it seems that you are in the Garden of Eden and thousands of birds give out their trills at the same time, this is something. The hotel has a kitchen, washing machines, everything for people and for any level of vacationers. We lived like in a family with wonderful people, we said goodbye like relatives with tears in our eyes. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to wish Malkhaz, Elsa and their entire large family health, happiness, prosperity, prosperity to their business, long life and may everything only multiply, add and grow!!! - a hotel is a hotel, but the feeling that you are in a family hotel is always present: the place is sincere. Thanks to the hostess Elsa for this atmosphere, she will smile at each guest and find a couple of kind words, despite being busy with the cafe.
- that the owner does not hide how far to go to the sea! They take you back - once a day for free, then 5 GEL. But many walk, inhaling the scent of eucalyptus. It seemed to me a bit heavy - in the heat! )))
- just a wonderful hunting dog Jack... everyone loves him!
- you don’t have to take any excursions: this service is provided by the owners (relatives help with this matter, we were taken by Malkhaz’s brother Jamal from Moscow, he has an excellent Russian, he loves and knows history well, tells interesting stories!

I couldn’t decide on a place to relax on the sea (after the sea we went to travel to other places, now I’m talking about the Batumi coast).
I chose two settlements and was satisfied with both.
1. Makhinjauri.
- for those who came by train - this is just the final station (many already know that there is no station in Batumi itself)
- the beach is quiet, cozy, yet without an excess of infrastructure: one cafe, one lifeguard, one boy with umbrellas and sunbeds, and he also sells corn on the spot - I personally like these beaches. At the same time, it is clean (garbage carried out by the sea at night was removed quickly)
- we stayed at the TJ hostel (we found them on booking, but they seem to be here too). the sea is 5-7 minutes down from the house, it suited us, quietly, cockerels crow, dogs bark - grace. The house is three-story, we have a balcony on our floor with a beautiful view of the sea, Batumi, gardens. The hosts are pleasant, accommodating, friendly, but not intrusive. The rooms are clean, with modern renovation, everything works, the kitchen is on a huge veranda with everything you need.
- Batumi - 5 min by minibus
2. Kvariati
- 14 km south of Batumi - 3 km to the border with Turkey.
- the beach is more equipped with all sorts of water activities, cafes, sellers dart back and forth - it's not annoying, but just such a fact.
- but the water is clear: you go up to your shoulders and see the stones under your feet!
- we stayed at the Zura family hotel, found it here on the forum. I was bought by a chic house with a swimming pool: everything is as described - it is! Everything is super, the cafe is downstairs in the house, the owners are nice people.
- to the sea -1.5 km (to the road down) + a little from the road to the beach itself. The owner did not hide this fact. But they offer to carry back and forth (once a day for free, then - 5 GEL). Many went on their own: to lose a little eaten calories and breathe in eucalyptus air)))
- the food in the hotel cafe is good and the prices are normal
Both from Makhinjauri and from Kvariati - they often traveled to Batumi - no problem.
Would I stay in these places again? - Yes!
