Before reaching about a kilometer to the Georgian-Turkish border of Sarpi, one can see a huge sculpture at the waterfall, erected in honor of St. Andrew the First-Called. It is worth stopping here for a while to read the sign by the waterfall and take some beautiful photos. The inscription in Georgian is translated as follows: “The path through Georgia is the path of enlightenment. The project is dedicated to the arrival of St. Andrew the First-Called in Georgia. ”
