So let's get down to the description. First, about the Neos Olympos Hotel. Location pt. favorable, from the airport to the hotel there is a direct metro line, from the metro to the hotel min. 5 on foot, so you can always get to anywhere in the city. First, about the Neos Olympos Hotel.
Location pt. favorable, from the airport to the hotel there is a direct metro line, from the metro to the hotel min. 5 on foot, so you can always get to anywhere in the city. The hotel is located almost in the very center of Athens, near the railway station, the Acropolis and everything that interests a tourist!
The rooms are different, I advise you to take the most expensive one, then this 2-star. the hotel can be equated to 4, as Pts. beautiful lobby, stairs, floors (despite the fact that the hotel itself is v. small). The rooms are from the simplest: 3 beds, a washbasin, facilities on the floor, this is suitable for students. Further better: a bed, a bedside table, a closet, amenities in the room. True, the furniture is old : ( But the most expensive room (in the summer it was about 50-70 dollars. I don’t remember anymore) with good furniture, layout, amenities. View from the rooms onto the street.
Cleaning every day
The staff is friendly, not intrusive. They know English and Russian.
There is no animation, the tourist is presented to himself. There is free access to the Internet, in the form of 2 computers.
for 4 euros breakfast: bacon, cheese, scrambled eggs, coffee, tea, juices, fruits, muesli, etc. , in general, a buffet. I advise you, for that kind of money in Athens, you can’t eat anywhere else so much.
From the hotel to the sea go by bus min. 30-50, depending on which beach you decide to go to. There are paid and free. At first there are no amenities, at the second it’s better, but the sea is the same: in June it was dirty : (
As for the hotel, good value for money.
In the summer, o. it's hot, wear a hat.
Prices in supermarkets are reasonable, in cafes too.
The city is calm, "not in a hurry", the impression is that no one is in a hurry, there are many of us. In general, the impressions from Athens are not bad. Visit the Acropolis (12 euros), museums, market, you can buy a lot of gifts. Go to churches - Greece is an Orthodox country, beautiful temples!
In conclusion, I will say that we liked the city of Athens and the hotel!
Have a good holiday everyone!
