Review of the trip to the city of Patras
We rested in the Peloponnese, and decided to go to the city of Patras - the third largest in Greece, an interesting and beautiful place, with a rich history and traditions, a city of students and a winter carnival! We thought about going on our own, but renting a car turned out to be unprofitable, and it’s not clear with parking, plus a siesta from 14:00, so we chose a tour with a tour operator more rationally (we rested with Mouzenidis Travel).
The tour is designed for half a day, it is very convenient - you have time to have breakfast, come back for dinner, and everything is calculated there until closing for a siesta. The guide told us interesting details about the city, we arrived in just an hour and there we visited the Cathedral of St. Andrew the First-Called, a very quiet and peaceful place - there was no one there except us, there was enough time, there was an excellent church shop nearby, we also collected holy water and then went shopping .
Several streets with shops in the city center - you can buy very good things at affordable prices: world brands, expensive and not very expensive, Greek brands, Italian brands (Italian fashion first of all comes to Patras, because it is a city port connecting Greece with Italy).
We also had time to ride the rides and climb the stairs, see the Roman Odeon, which offers a stunning view of the city and the Corinthian Gulf, admission is free. So a half-day excursion is enough to do everything, thanks to the tour operator for organizing and for the guide.
