Holidays in Neos Marmaras
When we again came to rest with the children and stayed at the Porto Carras hotel, the children really wanted to go on a sea voyage again (before that we had already been on several), and of course I supported them. The road from the hotel to the bay took 15 minutes. We arrived in the resort town of Neos Marmaras (this trip was a bit like a blue lagoon tour, but everything was fresh and new), a very nice, slightly touristy place. Our real schooner with pirate attributes (flag, decor with wooden weapons), from which the children were delighted, was already waiting for us on the pier. We could take comfortable seats with the best view, the ship is spacious enough, And so our sea pirate journey began. A boat trip has an amazing effect on me: it gives a special feeling of harmony and delight at the same time. First we went to the wild beach of Toroni, where we spent 2 hours enjoying the sea, the sun and soft drinks from a small beach bar. The water was very warm, and despite the fact that the beach is secluded, it is very clean, and the sea water is crystal clear.
After swimming in Toroni, we sailed for lunch, pleasant Greek and then foreign music played on our schooner, and some guests danced, and all the kids played merrily with each other)). We sailed to the fish tavern, which was located right on the pier, with a summer playground right on the shore. It was very nice and picturesque, in the shade of the trees. Lunch was not included in the cost of the trip. We ordered a traditional Greek salad, which is one of the simple and main dishes everywhere, squid, octopus cooked on coals and potatoes, as well as a very tasty chocolate dessert. The portions were just huge, so we feasted on glory! The bill was a pleasant surprise, much cheaper than you would expect elsewhere.
After lunch we went to the islet of Kelifos, where we planned to swim in the open sea. The children really liked this particular stop, because how wonderful it is to dive from the side of the schooner (together with my mother)) and we also fed the seagulls. At this cheerful moment, our adventures for the day ended and we sailed back to Neos Marmaras. We returned to our hotel at 17:20, so there was still half a day for new experiences and adventures, where without them, as the son says.
