We just returned from Greece and, due to the fact that we traveled in a company with a disabled friend, I decided to share my travel experience.

First, on the site of Mousinidis, I searched and found a hotel with rooms for the disabled. Found in 2*. (Advance request required). Since such rooms are found in kopeck pieces, then in hotels of a higher class they are a must.

When ordering a taxi, it turned out that a seven-seater van (we are four adults, plus two children, plus a stroller) costs no more than a regular sedan.

When we arrived at Domodedovo and stood at the information board, an airport employee immediately approached us, and then everything happened somehow by itself. I didn't notice where our luggage had gone. They just brought us luggage receipts. I had to take the stroller to the oversized baggage department. Instead, we were given a state-owned one and with it a special man who led our entire company through passport and aviation control along a special corridor. The man then in the extraterritorial zone drove my friend wherever he says (to smoke, toilet, dutik) and, as a result, he got tired of it. But at the request to back off for at least half an hour, he was offended, walked away, but from a distance grazed us like a mother. During landing, another man appeared, and the two of them dragged Kolya into the plane as if they were their own.

In Thessaloniki, the Greeks drove a carriage and opened a passage for Kolya and his wife to the border guards.

In the hotel, the disabled room was not yet ready, and Kolya was offered to rest in the usual one. He liked it there so much that he stayed there.

Back at home, I downloaded a disabled icon from the Internet and printed two on yellow paper. When I rented cars, I glued these badges on the windshield and rear window. As a result, for the first time over the hill had no problems with parking. At all. Even where there were no special parking spaces. Up to the point that in Meteora he generally entered the territory of one of the monasteries, and at some hot springs he stood in such a way that spray reached the wheelbarrow. A couple of times I drove along the pedestrian streets (Not from evil. I have topographical criticism). The people parted politely. Several times they did not charge for the autobahn. (They took Fiat Doblo and Ford Fiesta. The stroller fits without problems)

When you wander for a long time in all sorts of fermenting places, at some point the backbiters begin to squeak and get on your nerves. In our case, such problems did not arise. the younger one rode on Kolya's knees, and the older one on some kind of pedals behind the stroller. I really had to push this whole structure, but peace is more expensive.

In museums where there were no elevators, Kolya was rolled up the stairs on some kind of horseradish along the railing.

On the way back to the airport, everything happened again. Luggage surrendered itself without any weighing. Passage everywhere without queues. They put us all in first class. (Everything is the same, only the distance between the seats is wider. Or wider. ) Kolya was brought separately on a special bus. He drove up to the plane, stood on some poles, caught up with the side and Kolya was solemnly rolled into the cabin by two peppers in the form of rescuers. When we flew up, the chief stewardess asked us whether it was necessary to submit resuscitation to the board upon arrival, but we decided that this was too much and refused.

I did not describe those cases when everyone and everywhere helped us. (Entrance and exit from the sea, check-in to restaurants and shops, overcoming curbs. This is understandable. Tourists, waiters, peasants, monks, and even some slum-dwelling Albanian-looking homosexuals. )

We were in Turkey a couple of years ago. But there were only three of us. Kolya and two men. Everything seemed to be similar in terms of service at airports. Maybe not so blatantly. I don't remember the details. We drank... If you eat in such a composition, I advise you to make the following gadget in advance - Saw off a piece of 40 centimeters from the handle from a shovel. Screw two loops of wide belts to it with self-tapping screws. It turns out like this 0__0. The person sits between you, the straps on your shoulders, and he can be dragged into places where the stroller will definitely not pass. Kolya visited the Alanya fortress and the Anatolian water park in such a way. (It’s true that the Turks there said that the disabled were not allowed on the slides, but they were sent, because pregnant women, cores and babies were drawn on the prohibition poster. ) Kolya swept 4 times.

In general, if you have a relative or friend with a disability, go on vacation with him. As you can see, it will be kayfovo not only for him, but also for you. Good luck.
