There are 2 supermarkets nearby, the office of the company offering car rental. There are several 5* hotels nearby. The place is quiet and very beautiful. 5 for the view and "-" for the 2nd line.
Territory:
Lots of greenery. Trees (not only olive trees), palm trees, flowers. The hotel even has its own garden : )). The territory is small: paths between bungalows and the main road leading up to the hotel parking lot. The hotel consists of 6-7 (do not remember exactly) buildings (bungalows). There are about 80 rooms in total. We stayed in the newest building (we'll call it that) - 3 floors with 6 rooms. Of all, he is outwardly less attractive, but is located above all.
Pool: It is one, small, but despite the fact that during our stay at the hotel there were no free rooms, there were always free sunbeds and umbrellas near the pool. The floor around the pool is made of wood (unusually). 4 points with + for greens: )
Beach: if it can be called a beach, rather a place for swimming: ) 4 by 3 meters concrete platform, entrance along the ladder like a pool, stones, stones, stones . . But the water is clean! Sunbeds and umbrellas on the "beach" for free. I never sunbathed or swam there)) In general, there is no sand on the coast in Elounda, except for some 5 * hotels and a municipal beach, on which, of course, umbrellas and sunbeds for a euro (2 for each) (we sunbathed there). Beach - 2 points : )
Rooms: Our room was large. And other hotel rooms are not small. See site. Minibar and safe for euro. But the view is awesome! ! All rooms with sea view. And islands in the sea. And around the mountains. Super! ! Number for 4 points.
Restaurant: He's alone. The food is not too diverse, the cuisine is Greek of course.
Always meat, chicken, fish (but I preferred pasta : )) a lot of greens, vegetables, fruits: watermelon, melon, sometimes peaches and oranges. Delicious cheeses and desserts. There is no fresh juice at breakfast: (. With local taverns, where you can eat a portion of two and everything is very tasty, of course you can’t compare. Food for 4 points : )
Service: All cheerful. Songs are sung. At the reception, however, the night worker is a strange uncle, but everyone is very nice. Russian is not spoken. Waiters 3 people a man, a young guy and a girl. When compared with a good restaurant, then of course everything is easier in communicating with customers. The atmosphere is like being with hospitable hosts for dinner. We left tips for the maid several times, there was no change in cleaning. Everything is clean with no frills. Bed linen is heavily washed : )
There is always something to complain about. But the hotel deserves its European 4 stars. Only here the beach let us down. So you can't go swimming with kids.
I liked the rest, we did not sit still. We took a car and traveled half of Crete. By the way, we found a company with very reasonable prices for a car (Eagle rent car). Hyundai i10 (1.1l) for 180 euros for 9 days.
