Just returned from Crete and can't wait to share my impressions. We rested at the Anissa Beach 4+ All Inclusive hotel. The hotel was chosen long and carefully, as it was our honeymoon trip. We were very satisfied, the perfect combination of price and quality. We originally booked a room with a sea view, which cost us 40 Euro more each. But they did not regret a single second, since in the midst of August, absolutely all the rooms were occupied. The room is excellent. The truth is not big. View from the balcony to the palm trees and the sea. Opposite the bed there is a huge mirror, and above the bed there is a ceiling with light bulbs in the form of stars. Very cute. We liked. We were greeted with champagne and fruit. The service staff is very pleasant and sociable. They speak German and English. Not many people speak Russian yet and they only know a couple of words: thank you, hello, please ...They cleaned every day, including a change of linen.

The food is excellent. Especially lunches and dinners, varied and tasty.

Breakfast was frustrating with its early completion. From 7:30 to 9:30…. You don't always have time to wake up before this time. The pool bar serves all sorts of drinks: martinis, baileys, vodka, tequila, coffee, ices...anything and everything is original brands, not homemade. And also after dinner there are 2 bars on the street ...there you can also drink cocktails. The waiters are very nice guys... easy to contact. Once, instead of dinner in a common restaurant, you can dine in a Greek tavern (by appointment). Several tables playing Greek music, Greek wines to choose from, light snacks, naturally Greek salad and a huge selection of grilled meats. It's been a pleasant evening. Men in shorts are not allowed for dinner. And that's great. Since the ladies also have to dress beautifully . . many came to dinner in high heels. Vacationers: 50% Germans, 30% Italians, 20% Russians and French. Age about 30 - 45. Quite a lot of children.
There were a couple of young couples, mostly families. The area is great…big and green. There is a small promenade along the sea...you can walk under the moonlight. The sea is a different story. The beach is big and clean. There were enough sun loungers for everyone when the hotel was full. BUT. There were always waves on the beach. From 2 points to 5. We are cool, but the kids were afraid.

We rested only 7 days and rented a car for 3 days. According to the recommendations, the car was taken in front of the hotel in the rental car. Citroenchik with a volume of 1.4 for three days cost us 120 euros. But as it turned out in the town of Hersonissos (10 minutes by bus from the hotel), such a machine would cost 90 euros for 3 days.  Traveling experiences in Crete are incomparable! On the first day we decided to visit the famous place Vai in the very east of the island. In which they filmed an advertisement for "bounty" - a grove of date palms. Very beautiful bay with really date palms….
though it is not big at all, I imagined a palm forest!

My friend from Athens claims that the most fashionable resorts of Crete are located in the south of the island. Therefore, we chose to visit the town of Lerapetra. The town is lovely. And especially the waterfront. Honestly, as for me, Yalta is so! )) native. Cool. Dear Yalta! Why go so far)) Do not believe me? See for yourself. We visited the largest water amusement park in Crete Water City. 10 minutes drive from the hotel. Just a bomb. 15 crazy slides in one place. The main thing is in no case do not start your tour with a black pipe. Which is immediately to the left of the entrance. NEVER! This is a very, very scary pipe. For those couple of seconds that I flew in it ...my whole life passed before my eyes ........ We highly recommend all the slides for two ...special double circles are issued, very fun and cool. In general, the water park is a sea of \u200b\u200bpositive! 20 euros for the whole day per person.
We visited a resort town in the northeast of the island of Rethymno. Very, very fashionable place. The embankment reminded the Miami embankment…all in palm trees and tanned beauties. a beautiful fortress, a bay with yachts. Very positive impression of Rethymnon. If we return to Crete, we will definitely go there.

In the northeast of the island there are two beautiful towns: Agios Nicholas. known for a picturesque lake in the city center (pictured) and a former village. And now one of the fashionable resorts is Elounda. Boats depart from Elounda to the island-fortress of Spinalonga. Crazy interesting place. The island is completely surrounded by dilapidated fortress walls, and in the middle are the remains of a medieval city. The combination of sandy stone walls and turquoise sea is incomparable. A very picturesque island. In an hour you can get around up and down. Hotel thanks to Crete for the landscapes. High mountains, sea of several shades.
Crete is wonderful!
