To begin with, Malia was not chosen by chance. Our resort is not particularly promoted, which means that there will be a minimum of compatriots. And so it turned out.
Let's start with the hotel. It fully corresponds to the declared 4 stars. I must say right away that no one speaks Russian. Main languages: German and Italian. Well, the taste and color, as always ..

The hotel itself is located on the beach in the Gulf of Mali. Golden sandy beaches...True, we did not go to the hotel's beach, it seemed to us very sad, we went to Bikini Beach, Mike's Beach. These are youth beaches with music all day long, they are not suitable for a quiet family holiday.
The hotel itself consists of several three-story buildings, surrounded by greenery, palm trees, flowers, flowering cacti, there is even a fountain, pomegranate and lemon trees...

We had a room on the third floor overlooking the pool. By the way, there are two of them, in different places. One depth 1.85 - 1.20.

During the day, all the animation takes place there, races on mattresses, water polo and all sorts of games not in the water. The second pool near the beach on the sea. It has a jacuzzi and a paddling pool for kids. What happens there during the day - I do not know, did not go. But in the evening it is very beautifully illuminated.

The room has everything, a refrigerator (small, but you don’t need much), Hairdryer works pretty well, bathroom is normal, like at home, not a shower, air conditioning is shared, when you leave the room it turns off, but the room is wildly hot not observed, Balcony - armchairs and a table, TV - from ours only RTR planet, but it's impossible to watch, only news, but we have no problems with languages, so there were enough German and Italian channels. The beds are two separate ones pushed together, so if you are used to sleeping together, it is not very convenient, because there is a gap in the middle. There are beach towels. Ordinary baths are changed every other day, as well as linen. There were no crashes.

Food - we had breakfast - dinner.
Both for breakfast and dinner there is a very good choice of everything, including seafood, only for dinner you need to come early, it is before 21.30 - it is better to come at 20.00, there is little left later. In our case, the drinks were for money (a large bottle of water for two 1.80E). Breakfast is also quite plentiful: fruits. yoghurts, cereals, English breakfast, well, and all sorts of jams, rolls, sausage cheese. Coffee is disgusting : -).

Animation - from 21.00 in the theater (in the form of an antique theater on the street behind the pool) there was a disco for kids, and after it from 21.30 a show for adults - SUUUPEEER. Every day something new, sketches, competitions, etc. BUT you need to know the language! ! And English won't help. We were saved by knowledge of German and a little Italian. The whole anamation is in these languages, and only in French (but in short)!!

Once there was a Cretan night, with a barbecue and national dances. We didn't go, we watched from the balcony. Oh well, it's fun! Most importantly, this is Malia herself at night!
BUT to get real pleasure you have to be under 30 and without children. We just fit in, for older adults it's more of a shock than a pleasure.

You can't really buy souvenirs in Malia, because it is designed for English youth, every cent counts : -). For souvenirs, you can go to Hersonissos, it is nearby, 10-15 minutes by car. We rented a car for a week, so I won’t tell you anything about standard bus excursions. But where it is worth going, I will gladly sign it. Write to: crystall78@rambler. en
