We rested from August 13 to 23 with my son (15 years old). In principle, we liked everything (except for the little things), the impressions from which melt against the backdrop of a wonderful holiday. They say correctly, who goes for what... We went for the sun, for the beautiful sea - we got it in full.
From the airport we were brought quickly - within 30-40 minutes. The hotel guide Natalia (by the way, a very nice girl - she told us everything in an accessible, detailed and clear way; and then they turned to her with any question - she explained everything in an accessible way and helped - THANKS a lot to her) met us, filled out all the formal forms herself and offered to have lunch, because the restaurant was already closed. After dinner, we were immediately given the keys and the porter escorted us to the room and delivered our things. What immediately struck my son (remembering Egypt and Turkey) was that the porter did not linger for a second, without turning his head, begging for a "tip" - he left. We were in a 4 star hotel for the first time (previously we only took 5 stars). Of course, there are rough edges, but they are minor. We were settled on the 1st floor (high, at the level of the 2nd) In the ticket we had a view of the garden, but we watched the palm trees in front of the balcony, and the sea on the horizon. The room is small, so we only came there to wash, change and sleep, so we didn’t really feel it. Here many in their reviews write that the soap is tiny, the shower gel is not enough. I think that this is also an insignificant remark. We always carry all our own: Both shampoo and gel - what we are used to at home.
The area is large and green. But to our shame, we discovered this only on the last day, because. earlier, they didn’t go up there, only to the show (and it’s already dark). Everyone wanted to swim in the freshwater pool, but they didn’t get to it, there was enough sea for us.

The sea, of course, is wonderfully warm and transparent. On the first day we went a little to the left, opposite the pink sun loungers (this is a guideline for who will go). There is sand, no stones, the entrance is gradual and gentle. My son and I spent at sea for 40 minutes, or even an hour, starting in the morning, from eight o'clock. Bought, rested a little, again in the sea. Yes, the waves are almost always - it didn’t scare us, but the son was generally delighted. And when the sea more or less calmed down, he was upset.
What to say about food. Correctly stated in the previous review. My son was not satisfied with the assortment, but he is picky, we do not focus on him. He ate almost nothing but fruit. And so, fresh vegetables, meat was always chicken, and pork, and lamb, fish. Don't stay hungry. Went a couple of times to local restaurants in the evenings for a change. Twice there was a restaurant on the "a la carte" system - fish and Chinese. Worth going. On the "fish" evening, just the son "came off" - he barely got up from the table. He liked everything - shrimp, and mussels, and squid, and what kind of fish was there.
We went on 3 excursions - palm paradise, Knossos palace and lassithi plateau. You can also visit for variety. Palm paradise is not impressed, we have a better sea in the hotel. The palace of Knossos may be worth a visit for general development, but then we went to Heraklion (it’s very hot to wander the streets, knowing nothing and not being guided) - this is useless. You have to go there in the evening and you can do it yourself, without a tour. But Lassithi, we liked the tour. We did not take the car, because we went without a dad (husband), and I myself do not own the rights.
In the end, the rest was a success, the impressions are good, I recommend the hotel.
