We thought to get warm and sunbathe, but in Kyiv at that time it was warmer : ) Almost all evenings were quite cool, despite the fact that during the day the sun was just hot. And it was cold and burned : ) Use creams with UV filters and sit under the shade-umbrella in any case! : ) The water was quite cool, around 18 degrees. And there was a storm for several days in a row. But the sea in Crete is amazingly beautiful!
About the hotel:
Pros. Territory: well-groomed, many flowers, benches, several pools, enough sunbeds and by the pools, and on the grass, and by the sea. Meals: a fairly varied buffet, despite the month of May, they even gave some fruits - watermelons and something else. Self-service alcohol. But I haven't seen anyone who abuses it.

Cons - rooms depending on the case are very, very different. In a large building, in which there is a lobby and a restaurant, the rooms are very bad, reminiscent of a company in a hostel, some smell like a canteen. Better in other buildings. The beach, namely the entrance to the water, is rocky and inconvenient. You can walk to the nearby star beach. There are sandy beaches. There is a bay near Erie Beach, but we liked to walk a little further to the wide beach. You can swim in neighboring hotels, but sunbeds are paid. It takes 15-20 minutes to walk to Hersonissos with a stormy evening and night life.
