Firstly, I want to warn all tourists right away. There are two hotels with the same name but in different cities: Herssonises and Rethymno.
My friend and I thought that we had booked a hotel in Rethymno, and upon arrival it turned out that in Herssonises, but in principle we did not regret it.
Secondly, do not skimp on a room with a sea view. You can arrange at the reception upon arrival. For 10 days we paid extra 50 euros (although according to other reviews we read that some paid extra 100 euros for two weeks).
Even with us, there was such a case that a girl’s room was robbed (they stole a camera, phone and money, and, as we understood, her room was on the first floor with a balcony to the street). So if the room faces the street, then there is a sewer stench, and people will walk in front of your nose if you sit on the balcony.

Our room was 223. There is no refrigerator, no TV, no kettle, there was air conditioning, but the remote control was given for a fee. In the room the doors to the bathroom did not close and generally creaked terribly. Towels are changed every two days, cleaned every day.
Nutrition. We took breakfast and dinner.
The breakfast is very weak. Pretty much the same thing and everything is dosed. On trays (one tray per person) they were given some yogurt (or sour cream), cereal, two pieces of bread, margarine and marmalade. Instead of yogurt, they could give a canned peach. For dessert, they alternated between cake and croissants. And they gave milk in a small jug. Coffee from the machine, tea, and a glass of juice.
Dinners were very enjoyable. Several types of lettuce, meat, once they gave fish. Pasta, rice, potatoes also alternated. They also served spinach pie. For dessert, either oranges, or watermelon, or jelly.
Very pleased with the proximity to the beach. Two steps - and you are already on the beach. But be aware, the beach is very narrow, sun loungers are paid (3 euros per person), the entrance to the sea is not very convenient (I do not advise you to go to this beach with children) - slabs and stones. The beach is not very clean, cigarette butts, rubbish.
Wi-fi in the hotel is free, but only in the lobby and then with varying degrees of success.
I was also very pleased that the hotel is located in the city center, a lot of shops, cafes, in the evening there is something to do.
We went to Star Beach, 20 minutes from the hotel. There is an ideal beach for families with children.
Near the hotel there is Rustico cafe, where they cook delicious food.
Near the hotel there is a tour desk, many people speak Russian.
We went to the neighboring resort town of Malia, took an excursion to Santorini.
If you are not very picky about choosing a hotel, then it will suit you perfectly.
