Just a couple of weeks have passed since we returned from Crete. I hasten to write a review for those who are still thinking or already dreaming of going to the sea. The hotel was chosen based on cost and convenient location. The location of the hotel is not even bad. On the seashore (across the promenade), the center of Hersonissos, close to supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, tour agencies, etc. The only thing that did not suit the proximity was a disco. The windows of our room just overlooked the side of this disco. They saved the earplugs, but it's not very comfortable to sleep with them. The room itself is not bad. From the furniture: two double beds, but very comfortable, two bedside tables, a mirror, a dressing table, a chair and a wardrobe. Air conditioning is paid, we did not use it, because at night a cool breeze blew from the sea, that was enough. There were interruptions in hot water, I had to take a cold shower several times. From the food we had only breakfast. To be honest, we are not pretentious tourists, but it was very poor, even for us. Maybe it was due to their economic situation. Regardless, the staff is very friendly. . The beaches are mostly rocky, the sea is clean. On non-equipped beaches, under water on rocks, you can meet sea urchins - be careful. But in general, we love Greece very much and will go there to any hotel. This is a beautiful country.
