Hotel "Golden Beach" in Hersonissos (I emphasize, it is in Hersonissos; there are 2 hotels with this name in Crete, and in general 3 in Greece) - a good, solid C grade. The people who visited Turkey before the trip to Crete had a lot of complaints, and we, the newcomers, were completely satisfied with it. The main thing is to decide what you want; after all, Hersonissos is not a place where you can stay in a hotel all the time.
The hotel has a swimming pool located on the roof, a couple of meters by a couple of meters, we never swam there. Table tennis and billiards are available, both are paid.
The rooms are clean, cleaning every day, change of linen - every two days. The room has:

• An air conditioner that is set so that when you lie on the bed it blows on your head.
• A small TV, about 14 inches, which broadcasts the ORT channel, the rest are in Greek.
• Phone, which is only convenient to contact friends from other rooms, since calling from it to Russia is expensive.
• Small refrigerator for beer.
• Toilet and bath or shower - combined. The bath itself is very small and uncomfortable, you can not lie in it. Much better if you come across a shower stall.
The disadvantages include the lack of ventilation in the room, for some reason it is customary in Greece.
Now about food.
Schedule:
Breakfast: 7.00 – 9.30
Dinner: 18.40 – 21.30
The dining room is cozy, and the most important thing in it is the presence of a terrace overlooking the sea, but with a limited number of tables. Meals - buffet. The food is good, despite the monotonous breakfast. For breakfast, they give either eggs, or scrambled eggs, or scrambled eggs, sausages, cheese, sausage, cake, tea, coffee, juices (powdered). Crete has delicious bread. For dinner, depending on the number of visitors, the variety of dishes varies. There are pasta, potato dishes, meat, fish, stuffed tomatoes, always a few salads, a sea of vegetables and something tasty for dessert. Tea, coffee and other drinks are chargeable. But we brought it with us - no one objected, the main thing is not to get too impudent and at least sometimes buy from them.
The staff, as in all Greece, friendly and sociable.
Almost everything on the territory of the hotel is paid:
• Billiards, table tennis: 4.5 euros per hour, 2.5 euros for half an hour
• Safe: 2.5 euros per day, 17 euros per week
• Sunbed: 2.5 euros per day
