In general, the hotel itself is not bad, but 4 * with a stretch. There is neither a hair dryer nor a kettle in the room, if you do not take all-inclusive (we took breakfast and dinner), then in the only bar by the pool, coffee or cola will be for the money. In the morning in the restaurant from drinks only coffee or tea or milk, in the evening, on the contrary, there are no hot drinks, only strong drinks : ) The food is generally tasty, but a small selection of dishes, and somehow monotonous. … More ▾ In general, the hotel itself is not bad, but 4 * with a stretch. In the morning in the restaurant from drinks only coffee or tea or milk, in the evening, on the contrary, there are no hot drinks, only strong drinks : ) The food is generally tasty, but a small selection of dishes, and somehow monotonous. The room is equipped with air conditioning, but it was located above the children's bed, so we turned it on when leaving the room. The staff is polite, but if you try to explain something in Russian, they won't understand you, it's easier to explain in English. The pool is medium in size, due to the fact that the depth in it is of different levels, but not more than 2 meters with a large shallow area, you could safely leave the child in the pool. The disadvantage of the hotel is that they do not give out towels for the pool / sea (with white ones in the room they will not be allowed to go to the pool). There is no beach near the hotel, and in general there are no good beaches in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. If you go from the hotel to the right, towards the village, you will get to the beach with paid sunbeds and sunbeds (5 euros for 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella), but the bottom is rocky and there is a lot of algae. If you go to the left, you will reach the beach opposite the Stella Hotel, there is a lagoon made there, it is shallow, the bottom is more or less clean, but the water is almost not flowing. . Sunbeds for those who are not from Stella seem to be paid, but we never paid, since no one there really looks after it. The guests of the hotel are mainly Russians, French and Czechs (for the Czechs, even their own animators). For those who like to travel next to the hotel car rental. Go far enough to the public transport stop, through the entire village, which, in general, is also not very close to the hotel. A huge plus of the hotel, which is why we chose it, is children's animation. (Before it was not, organized by Natalie Tours this year). Children are busy most of the day. In the morning after breakfast they have exercises and classes until lunch, after 16 hours again games and classes. In general, there is an opportunity for parents to take a break from communicating with children, and at the same time, children are also busy with something interesting and useful. . So I recommend for a family holiday if the sea (beach) is not so important and there are no complaints about the level of service.

I love Greece, especially the islands - last year there was Rhodes, this year according to the plan, Crete. As we were traveling with a child, we had to amend our usual resort hotel requirements. The determining factor was that Natalie Tours at Golden Star has a children's program (we took the Adults and Children tour) and that a child under 11 years old stays free of charge in this hotel if he is accommodated in a room with two adults.

True, after reading the reviews about this hotel before departure, we are a little wilted. There were some very negative ones among them - they allegedly feed badly, and scorpions dart around in a shabby room. Thank God, it all turned out to be nonsense, and the authors of such reviews, most likely, were not in this hotel. The only true thing is that there is only one Russian channel, at least in our room, but I don’t watch TV at home, I save my brain.
We got a cozy room, it fit perfectly in size, we didn’t push our knees, plus a chic balcony, if we wanted peace, we went there to read or sit with a glass of local wine. The staff is quite sane, they didn’t leave a tip every day, but on the second day they made a present to the maid - a big Babaev chocolate bar, after which the cleaning was excellent. And in general the staff, as elsewhere in Greece, is very friendly.

We also liked the food - what could not like there? Fresh vegetables, salads, meat, fish, barbecue events. At first, the boy did not really perceive the abundance of olive oil and kept asking if his mother had taken mayonnaise, but then he got involved and, running around in the club with the kids, cracked everything that you put on a plate.

I will tell about the club separately. Looking at our guy, I even regretted that I sent my blockheads to a sports camp near Gelendzhik.
The animators simply enslaved the children's people, from breakfast until the evening there was a variety of fun activities, contests, competitions and more. Kirill, having come to the room after dinner, used to fall asleep without having time to take off his shoes, and at breakfast there was only talk about “what happened yesterday” and what the counselors would come up with for them today. When they flew back, he was sitting straight all in sadness, so he did not want to go to boring Moscow.

We also rented a car and drove around the island for a bit. Of what I saw, the Lassithi Plateau and the Diktea Cave, the cradle of Zeus, were most memorable. And just rolling in a car with a breeze along excellent roads between mountains and pines is just a thrill. Moreover, you can sometimes stop and swim in some beautiful secluded bay with crystal clear water. In general, we returned to Moscow with a large suitcase of sunny impressions and, I think, we will come to Greece more than once to rest.

The first impression was terrifying, not a very new hotel, no hair dryer in the room (you need to take it to the reception), the hotel staff did not speak Russian at all, modest food, weak water pressure in the room.....but in fact it turned out to be such trifles. My advice to you. . . or take three stars, or five.... There, fours are incomprehensible to everyone in general. But then we took excursions, because there was absolutely nothing to do in the hotel, and then when the weather improved, we began to go to the sea. I'll tell you so, then they got so into the taste that I didn't want to leave. Just stay positive and everything will be ok! ! Do not look for cons in everything, but accept everything as it is.... because the bulk of the non-Russian vacationers there, and they are quite happy with everything. Separately, I want to say about the children's club, located on the territory of the hotel "Pirates". It's just class! We hardly saw the children, because they were constantly there. . The girls are smart, they constantly played educational games with them, gave some tasks for piastres, constantly prepared for concerts, I must say that they went with a bang! The children are delighted, they had their own team of pirates there, they regularly elected the captain of the team, at the end of the holiday they were awarded with a diploma and gifts, a storm of emotions, they left with tears in their eyes. . . In general, look for the positive in everything, and the rest will go off with a bang!

Rested in early August 2010 with his wife and child. I liked everything very much. The rooms are spacious, the hotel is clean, well maintained, large territory. The food is very good. The hotel is 99% French, so everything is cultural and calm, which is also pleased. True, the animation is all in French, but do you really go to Crete because of the animation? Of the minuses - the hotel does not provide soap in the room, and towels by the pool. … More ▾ Rested in early August 2010 with his wife and child. I liked everything very much. Guys, if you don't want to spend your entire vacation in a charming company of "frogs", you don't need to spend money or time on this, three rubles in Egypt is better than this 4 plus, besides, everything is included, believe me - everything is off. I won’t be too embarrassed, but if there, then take a car and leave for the entire period to Ancient Greece, and in any city, you can live for only 300 Euros a month, and do you think it’s worth overpaying for a trip to the hotel where you won't even notice. … More ▾ Guys, if you don't want to spend your entire vacation in a charming company of "frogs", you don't need to spend money or time on this, three rubles in Egypt is better than this 4 plus, besides, everything is included, believe me - everything is off. Yes, in general, the hotel is normal! our room was normal, the food was so-so for some reason, everything tasted the same and fish and meat... vegetables seemed normal and fruits too! as for entertaining, it's not for Russians because all the animation is in French! near the hotel there are 2 tennis courts + a basketball court and table tennis, in general, the territory of the hotel is large and beautiful, for 4 * it pulls only because of its size it's honestly hot. . .
I advise you to rent a car! we took it for 5 days and didn’t break off, we traveled around half of Crete, if you’re going to take it, pay attention to the insurance there, they often throw it with it! gasoline och expensive 1 liter - 1.6 euros!
well, a car on average for 5 days turns out 200 euros somewhere! Peugeot 207 for example
but 10 days there for the eyes and ears there is nothing more to do there! even Blue is getting bored!
and about local sights, I advise you to go to Matala - this is the other coast of Crete and the other sea, the Palace of Knossos. in Mali, too, it’s not bad, well, it’s certainly worth wandering into Hersonissos itself to look at drunken Englishmen in discos) by the way, they always eat there most of all and then wallow anywhere). in general, I liked everything))) you just need to be able to relax... )
