Stayed at the end of May with my husband. First time in Crete. Let's go with Mouzenidis Travel. I would like to note right away that the bus does not go to the hotel, which at first we were not happy about, due to the narrow streets it stops at the crossroads, 100 meters from the hotel. But after we were personally met and escorted by our separate guide, we were pleasantly surprised and calmed down (we also rested with other tour operators, but we have never met such a reception anywhere else).
As for the hotel itself, it is quite comfortably nestled among other city buildings. With all this, it was very quiet around us, so we were pleased to have a rest here from the night noise of the resort town. The rooms themselves are quite simple and comfortable. Nothing extra. And the hotel itself is not replete with a large area: a swimming pool in the courtyard with sun loungers around. The hotel is part of the Hersonissos chain, so all vacationers can use the infrastructure of the nearest Hersonissos Palace hotel. The exception is the restaurant. I don't know how well they cook at Hersonissos Palace, and if there is any difference at all, but at our Hotel Heronissos the food is wonderful! For every meal (we had all inclusive) there was not only a wide choice of main dishes, but also fruits and vegetables. And of course the service is top notch.
We were especially lucky with the vacation time. At this time (at the end of May) the weather was warm, but not hot. Of course, at times it was stuffy, but again, not catastrophically. But even here we found salvation - the sea. Very warm!
