Hello. I hasten to share the wonderful reviews about the Hersonissos Village hotel, where we spent a wonderful time. Upon arrival, at the airport we were met by very nice girls, escorted to the bus and we went to our hotel. On the way, we had very picturesque views of the Aegean Sea and the nature of the island of Crete. We rested in Crete for the first time and will definitely come back here. The hotel is very compact and cozy. Located on a hill and built in the style of a Cretan village. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the sea. There are different beaches. We really liked to come early in the morning to a small beach located under a rock. Umbrellas, sun loungers for an additional fee. But we had our own umbrella, so we only rented sun loungers.
The hotel operates on an All Inclusive basis. As for a four star hotel, very tasty food from quality products. We have never been hungry. The local drinks at the hotel were also delicious. In the evening, basically everyone spent time in a bar with an open terrace, drinking red wine. We most often walked into the city and spent time in one of the taverns.
I especially want to note the work of the staff, and in particular our hotel guide. They will always help, prompt, advise how to spend your vacation with benefit! Real fellows, professionals in their field!

As for food, we really liked the cuisine in the restaurant. There was not a huge number of dishes, but we were very pleased with the quality of the products.

Time passed unnoticed with a lot of useful information and I was already in a fairy tale with the azure sea, mountains and the Sun! I saw the hotel only in the photo and I was not at all embarrassed by the location on a hill, when I saw with my own eyes the most beautiful Cretan town with white houses, lots of greenery, breathtaking views of the sea, I realized that our vacation would be great and beautiful! At the reception, they took a voucher from us and quickly put us in a room without delay. Cretan style rooms: white walls, an aura of Cretan traditional, new to me. Warm and cozy, modest and cordial! There is a safe but we didn't use it. I've suffered faster to the sea....A small minibus runs from the hotel 3 times a day for free, but we wanted to take a walk and explore the surroundings, we walked slowly for about 15 minutes. And here it is....blue, warm sea... sand... and I'm happy !!!! ! It turned out that there are shops, taverns and just a fun life nearby! We went back by transfer to the hotel, had lunch and had a nice rest in the room after a busy road, just silently smiling at each other, breathing in the air, saturated with the joy of warmth, sun and admiring the sea! The hotel has 2 pools with fresh water, homemade and traditional food, friendly and attentive staff, we were at the Greek evening dancing sirtaki and drinking ouzo!!! ! I will say this, we didn’t notice any minuses....maybe they were, but we rejoiced at our long-awaited vacation in the good country of Greece, which further strengthened our union and gave us memories dear to our hearts !! ! The only thing we noticed was that there were no bathroom amenities, such as shampoo, soap, etc. , but I am very skeptical about the products that are issued at the hotel, so I try to bring everything with me, I have very sensitive skin, and she reacts strongly to low-quality products or even to products in general that I have not tried. The hotel safe is paid, but it is located right in the room. And our advice is to take a room with a sea view, because it is from it that a great view opens up, both during the day, in the evening, and at night. We really liked the food at the hotel, there was a feeling that the chefs cook with love, which means the food is like homemade, it's worth a lot. There were various salads, grilled meat and fish, other hot dishes, vegetable dishes, desserts, side dishes, the only negative we noticed was that seafood was given every other day.
