We rested this year in the wonderful hotel Clio Apart on the island of Crete, Greece. The hotel is 10 km from the airport, only 15-20 minutes by bus. Gouves is a quiet area, a small village, where there is nothing but tourist houses and shops, cafes. The hotel itself is very quiet. There is no animation, the contingent of vacationers is mostly families.
I would like to note the responsiveness of the staff. We arrived early in the morning and at 9 am were already at the hotel. We were met, shown, said that we can go to have breakfast and then leave things, change clothes in a special room and wait for the room to be ready. Check-in is official at 1 pm, but we were settled at 11. Which is very nice.
The hotel is simple but has everything you need. Our room had a great kitchenette and a spacious balcony. As well as a kettle and everything for tea and coffee. Pleased with soap accessories.

Walk 5-7 minutes to the beach. We swam on the beach, which was right away, but we didn’t go into the bay, because it’s very shallow there.
The food is simple, there is not much variety in the dishes, but tasty.
The staff is wonderful, especially Ludmila is beyond praise. The hotel has two bars, its own parking, green area, playground, children's room. Couples with children felt comfortable. I would like to say a big thank you for our holiday. I liked everything very much.
