For the sake of clarity, I note that the review was not written by the most picky tourists, who can close their eyes to the creaky door in the room or the insufficient (according to some) courtesy of the hotel guide. Circumstances are largely formed in accordance with our attitude towards them, so we try not to spoil our vacation with excessive meticulousness.
1. The rooms are ascetic: tiles on the floor, simple whitewashing on the walls, small bathrooms, TV channels Russian, German (enough). For those who come to swim and sunbathe, this is not a problem. The air conditioning seemed to work, but we didn't use it.
2. Animation is the most common: beach volleyball, gymnastics, aqua-aerobics, games and funny dances. In the evening, 6 times a week, a small show + all the same dances. The 2010 season is an Italian team of rather cheerful and friendly guys.

3. Food - better than in Turkey, the food is more edible. There is no excess of salt and seasonings, all this is on a separate table, whoever needs it will put it. Always Greek salad, watermelon, melon. The breakfasts are especially nice… Delicious croutons and different kinds of omelettes. Lunch boxes disappointed with their scarcity (orange and sandwich). Drinks: water; diluted but still natural juices for breakfast; coffee; cocoa; milk; cola, soda, lemonade, white and rosé wine (medium) in the afternoon. I didn't drink alcohol, so I won't say anything.
4. The beach is sandy, but the entry into the water is rocky. There are no free sun loungers on the beach itself, since the territory does not belong to the hotel, but you can sunbathe by the pool - there are always free comfortable sunbeds with umbrellas. If you walk along the coastline 200-300 meters to the right, you will find yourself on a sandy comfortable beach with a good sandy entry, with a gradual deepening.
5. The public - the hotel is not for youth. Russians - 40%, Italians - 40%, Germans, Poles, etc. - twenty%.
6. The territory is not large, several buildings (it seems that one was across the road from the hotel, not too nice if you find yourself there). There are quite a few rooms with a sea view (someone paid extra 70 euros for this luxury). 2 swimming pools, sea water, cleaned perfectly every morning.
7. The location is convenient for a quiet holiday, 1500 m from the town of Malia, which has many souvenir shops, bars for every taste, clothing stores, jewelry stores.
8. Staff: a Russian girl worked at the reception (but this is not Turkey - knowledge of English is very useful, although there are Russian consultants in some shops in Malia). The rooms are cleaned every day, the maids are friendly. There were no cases of theft.
9. Transport. You can walk to Malia - 20-30 minutes or rent an ATV (license required), it cost us 85 euros with full insurance for 6 days. Just like the car, we took it in Malia from Sasha's compatriot, who, along with a discount, can give a map with places to visit on the island (his agency is located somewhere on the left after the souvenir shop with soap and other chemicals, by the way, everything is there quite cheap, down the street from the hotel). The roads are good, but the ZHPS will not interfere (in my nokia it's free, you just need to download the map).

10. Excursions - Santorini, for the rest take a car. To save our nerves, we bought a tour from Pegasus, a little expensive (about 120 euros), but iron. Don't forget your camera! Be sure to take a trip to the south coast to swim in two seas in one vacation.
In conclusion, I will say that, not being a supporter of the fact that it is worth going to the same resort twice (there are so many places that you need to visit in time), I would gladly return to this wonderful island. Perhaps in the same hotel, which left only pleasant impressions.
