We returned from vacation yesterday. We were in Crete for the second time, so there is something to compare. First of all, a few words about the hotel. We settled an hour after arrival, all the reviews about the owners of the hotel are true, very good-natured people. We were lucky that we got a room with windows facing the courtyard, and not the main street, it is quite noisy there at night. The room itself is small, the furniture is rather shabby, the first association at the sight of the room is "monastic cell". There is a small balcony. The shower cabin is so small that it is better not to take a shower too early in the morning, because when you try to raise your hand, you hit the glass wall of the cabin, creating a roar that can wake everyone in the hotel. Plumbing is new, but why is it needed if there is not always hot water? But since we initially planned to use the hotel only as a place to sleep, these little troubles did not spoil the overall impression of the rest. The only thing that really bothered me was the terrible breakfast. If you can call them that. There is practically nothing! Bread, boiled eggs, melted cheese, ham, cereal, cucumbers, tomatoes and oranges. Everything! For seven days, the same thing, except for one day, when instead of oranges there was a watermelon. But otherwise, considering the price for which the ticket was bought, everything is ok. There are a million shops, taverns and restaurants around, and there are plenty of clubs for lovers of nightlife. Star Beach is a 15-minute walk from the hotel with excellent entry into the sea, clean, sandy. The cheapest and largest supermarket is SPAR to the left of the hotel, 15 minutes walk. The embankment is nearby - the center of evening life, the only thing that annoys you when walking in the evening is the importunity of barkers from taverns and restaurants. And most of all, ours, almost grabbing hands, the Greeks do not allow themselves this. If you have any questions, I'm ready to answer.
