After ten days of staying in this hotel (the same number is ahead), the poet's soul could not stand it, and for the first time in my life I decided to write a review about the place of my vacation. Meet Aldemar Cretan Village. The hotel is located in the European resort, the island of Crete, in Greece, and is marked with four stars.

We arrived at the gloomy Reception at about 10:30 in the morning and had to wait until 13:00, as the hotel was allegedly packed (the Germans in front of us were settled immediately), and our room had not yet been vacated. Our ten-month miracle named Arthur required water procedures. A Russian-speaking Greek woman sent her husband to the ladies' room, where a changing table awaited her and ...no water. As it turned out, the "gloomy" state of the reception is due to a power outage, which entails the lack of water and ...but more on that later. By the will of fate, it turned out that, oddly enough, there was still water in the men's institution, and the baby received his procedure.

Thanks to perseverance, already at 12-20 we were given the keys and offered to wait for a specially trained boy who was supposed to take us and our luggage to the room. We didn't wait. After checking the performance of all units in the room, I moved the bags, and we went to eat at the Snack bar. We walked to the beach, touched the cold sea and returned to the room. Our friends were still standing and waiting for the porter...

Number
+ I think we were lucky with the maid. Every day she washes the floors and the veranda, the bath (which is important for the baby), makes the beds beautifully and changes towels, as well as shampoos and paper products. No complaints, although other reviews were not flattering about the quality of room cleaning.
+ one single, one double and playpen. Sofa, chair, table, TV and refrigerator. The room is quite spacious, but we leave the stroller on the street, since there is a canopy.

- when flushing the toilet, water leaks, it's good that it's clean.
A plumber came, looked and said: "call a cleaner, but in general the water itself will drain into this drain in the floor (50 cm)". A puddle is constantly on the floor, they called again, they said to the maid, nothing has changed.

Restaurant and bar
+ a girl at the entrance from Armenia named Gohar. Thanks to her, we received the promised kettle in the room.
+ spacious and bright rooms that can accommodate all guests.
+ You can eat at almost any time from 7 am to midnight, as well as drink...
+ a specially invited chef from Italy prepares pasta of various types and tastes (for now, this is the only way to save ourselves).
+ bartenders, with good communication, as elsewhere, do everything you ask, including "long island".

- actually about the teapot. Before booking a room, I contacted the reservation manager of this hotel and received confirmation from him that they would give us a kettle in the room. This poor fellow was "cut" ...
The letter was good and they had no choice but to give us a kettle after two days of finding out who this employee was ...
- boorish meter of the restaurant. But I'm not going to write about him...
- lack of organization of the process of obtaining lunch boxes. Often they are simply not given enough and people are left without food.
- flying birds can (and do) fall on you from above ...

- high chairs, and especially black straps, and this is not a design decision. Also, the pillows on the chairs have not been washed for a very long time, although various things happened to them, and the sour smell does not contribute to a normal meal.
- every tenth plate/cup is dirty. It's time to change dishwashers.
- once in the restaurant, we could not understand why in the reviews about this hotel, many wrote that the choice was small ...After 10 days, I understand them. The range is about three. Powdered juices. Powdered milk. Children are left with Pepsi or tea or water. Adults drink wine and beer.
But every day there is the same thing ...And there is not much to choose from.
- twice a week (beautiful dust in the eyes) you can dine in a restaurant on the beach or in a second restaurant by the pools. Dinner on the beach features a reduced range and sea views, while dinner by the pools features live music and a special menu, as well as a bottle of red wine that you can pick up. Everything would be fine, but the special menu does not change and does not shine with culinary delights, so the second time we will go there only for the sake of music and dancing, if Arthur allows)).
- a couple of days later, lunch from the main restaurant was moved to the Snack bar and to the beach. This resulted in difficulties with seating and a severe reduction in the lunch buffet...
- given the European situation with cucumbers, I'm not very surprised that there are cucumbers, but the tomatoes are quickly running out and the last days are green.
- by the way, if you didn’t have time for the first 15 minutes of the meal, then it’s unlikely that you will get kiwi and pineapple, they are quickly scattered, but there is always a green (in every sense) banana and sausages with sausages (such meat products are not sold in hypermarkets in St. Petersburg, it’s a shame) .
- it remains a mystery to me why the restaurant has 3 entrances (a secret passage through the toilet does not count), if on the second day they left open the main one, facing 1/5 of the buildings? After all, it is so inconvenient for most people to bypass the restaurant from the “back side”.

Animation

+ Well, here everything is beyond praise. Students who speak all the languages of the guests (70% Russian, and then Ukrainians, Germans, Spaniards, Italians and French) entertain to the fullest all day. It is a pity that we do not fully appreciate everything, but the animators bow low. And the children are happy all day and at work, and adults. Sports events, competitions, shows and discos...Even one show was themed - Michael Jackson.
But, as a connoisseur of his work and in order not to be upset, I did not go to him.

Beach and pools
+ 3 adults and 3 children chlorinated...
+ free umbrellas and sunbeds
+ notable long slide
+ large umbrellas by the pools
+ free (on a security deposit of 15 euros apiece) towels

- this pledge provokes theft. You forget your towel, it is found by a beach boy (beach boy), but at the reception they will tell you that they did not find it and you got 15 euros. Then there are three options. You pay. You steal (have been stolen from us). You find someone else in the evening, and further, as your conscience tells you (I gave two of someone, but I'm not sure that I did a good deed, since they will probably take 30 euros from the lost money and this gesture will not be credited to me).
- beach-boys check the presence of bracelets, but they do not follow the fact that a drunken company comes from a neighboring hotel and, having covered a clearing right by the water, throws habariki and all sorts of garbage into the sea. And here almost everyone with children ...
- there is such a position on decent beaches "lifeguard". His task is to hang out the flag according to the weather situation and (attention to the screen) watch the swimmers so that they do not drown. What was my surprise when, in the midst of swimming (11-30 in the morning), I found him in a bar, sitting with his back to the shore with a cup of coffee and peacefully talking with the hotel manager ...

- "Made in Spain", it would be better in China. These sunbeds, many of which are broken, but even in the regular state do not descend completely horizontally. It is difficult to lie on the stomach, especially on those where the fabric has already sagged.

By the way, during this time there was no electricity three times. On the day of arrival, they gave about 14. Three more days later, not for long. And the climax. For the whole day, in one of the rainy periods. That is, there is nowhere to go, it is pouring outside the window, the TV does not work, the Internet is also not available and there is no hot water, plus simplified meals and no "sorry or excuse me. " There's just no electricity, that's all.
To summarize: in 15 years of dealing with hotels from *** to *****, for the first time I felt “at home”. Rudeness in communication, neglect of details and a complete lack of responsibility from the management. We all know the saying - the fish rots from the head, and if half of those dissatisfied with this hotel find the strength to describe this place (which is rarely the case upon returning home), then I doubt that someone Russian or English speaking will want to feel the modern four-star European service of this hotel.
