- and what really surprised me this time was the abundance of Russian-speaking Greeks from the former USSR.
Porter, waiters, bartenders, drivers, guides - all from there.
On the islands, I did not encounter such a phenomenon at all.
ACCOMMODATION, ROOM - after filling out the questionnaire, the receptionist laid out several keys at once and offered to inspect the rooms himself.
During the process, the following emerged:
The rooms are of different sizes and I would divide them into 3 types:

1. A small ascetic room with a small double 2-wall bed
(a person of very average height can stretch his legs), these include, for example, rooms 117-122 on the first floor.

2. Larger room, with 2 1-wall and 1-sleeping beds (connected upon arrival)

3. The room is about the same, with 2 (1 and 2-sleeping) 1-wall beds, but more comfortable.

Since the only free room of the 3rd type was on the 4th floor

(according to the local gradation - on the 3rd floor, the 1st floor goes like a zero or basement floor), then I chose the 2nd type on the 2nd floor.
A small drawback - the terrace is shared and not divided into 2 rooms, sometimes you had to move the neighbors' chairs to get to your own.
For a company of 2 couples - just right.

Cleaning took place daily, with the change of towels thrown on the floor.
The refrigerator was old, with a twisted cold regulator.
But it worked almost like a freezer, fanta in jars was with ice clots.

TERRITORY - compact and green where possible. Swimming pools in 2 locations.

CONTINGENT - Russian-speaking tourists + Eastern Europe.

INTERNET - WiFi is free, but only available in the lobby.
Quality (speed, stability) is acceptable.

BEACH - there was only once because of nothing to do, because by the last day of rest the excursions of interest were completed.
Walk about 350 meters from the hotel, sunbeds / umbrellas are paid (it seems 6 euros, I don’t remember exactly).
The water is opaque due to the surf and there are large pieces of mud in the coastal part, which is not encouraging.
Against the background of TORONI (see.
below) sucks.

FOOD.
In Greece, I don’t at all strive to choose a hotel with food, not to mention the all-inclusive (as in my beloved Egypt).
For me, a room with private facilities is quite enough, I prefer to eat in taverns and when I want to.
But it so happened that the price for a suitable hotel also included breakfast and dinner.

I came to the first dinner at 19.15 and expected a hustle at the tables, which was not the case.
From hot daily meat sauces to spaghetti, chicken. Sometimes lamb and fish stew.
Cold appetizers: dolma, salads, sadziki, vegetable cuts.
Dessert: 2 types of cakes, fruits (nectarines, peaches, cherry plums or etc. , sometimes watermelon and apricots)
Alcohol (draft cold beer, white and red wine, ouzo) + drinks = free.
All in all, you won't go hungry.
And sober, if desired, too ....)))

For breakfast - 4 options for cooked eggs, hot and completely edible sausages + muesli and more.

I really liked the Angelos tavern in Hanioti.

Went there for dinner last night and was very pleased.
Pleasant interior, murmuring fountain in the hall.
delicious food and good service.
Payment in cash, as in most taverns.

SHOP - stocked up there with drinks and water.
about 200 meters from the hotel

HOOKAH.
I was not puzzled by his search, I just found a hike along Hanioti in Coctail-Bar'e, next to Afros.
Briquettes are just terrible - they light up and burn out in 5 seconds (I have not seen this yet),
if you do not want a headache from chemistry, then they should be used no earlier than after 5-8 minutes, when the blackness will come down.
Bill for 2 orange fresh and multiple use of hookah for almost 2 hours (unlimited change of tobacco and briquettes at your discretion) - 29 euros.
I would advise hookah lovers to take a "sausage" of proven briquettes with them.
The hand will not be delayed, and the pleasure of smoking is incomparably greater!
And, of course, cook shisha yourself, and do not rely on the professionalism of the staff.

Those wishing to visit and photograph the monasteries of Mount Athos should definitely look for other opportunities.
I knew about this and was ready just for a sea walk, because this is a better option for me than wallowing on the beach or by the pool.
At 1 end, crawl on a yacht for about 2 hours, no less, so to pass the time, I took newspapers and a netbook just in case - and did not regret it, otherwise I would get bored.
when approaching the mountain, it was very windy, on the decks the wind moved light chairs and it was possible to photograph the monasteries only from the side of the ship.
In such shooting conditions, perhaps only the owners of ultrazooms felt more or less normal.
There is definitely nothing to do with the usual stupid "soap box"!
Landing on the shore is only in the small village of Uranopolis - everything is the same there: to buy something and eat.
Finally, after arriving at the pier and boarding the bus, there is a stop to buy village honey.
According to the guide, “quickly for 5-7 minutes”, in real life - 20, no less.

In general, if the choice of interesting excursions for 7 days was more, then I would definitely not advise going to this one.
