The sea is great

Who does the author recommend the hotel to?: For families with children
So we got to Greece. For the first trip they chose the mainland, Halkidiki. There's the first finger, Cassandra. The hotel was also called Cassandra Peles. Not far from Thessaloniki, about an hour's drive. At the airport, everything is organized: met, put on buses, taken to hotels. In the hotel itself, it turned out that the paid rooms are occupied. They offered to live in the old building for two days, for which they promised a week of "All" (we had "HB"). Not deceived. Two days later we moved to beautiful rooms with sea views in the new building, although we had a view of the garden. The present is a bottle of wine and fruit per room. We ate for a week on "All" as a gift, I liked it, then paid another 500 euros (for 4 people) for the next week.
About the hotel. I'll start with the old building. It is located farther from the sea. The rooms are clean and old - and furniture, and plumbing, and TV, and renovation. Old and physical and moral. The first impression is depressing. But you get used to it in a day and everything doesn't seem so scary.
In principle, as a budget option can suit someone. The main building. At first you get into a large empty hall, which also makes no better impression. At one end of the lobby there is a reception desk at the other. Then go to the elevator, where your mood is gradually improving and go up to the room, where your mood is quite good. Freshly renovated, new furniture, large TV, comfortable bathroom - what else is needed for the heart of the holidaymaker. Cleaning the room every day is not better or worse than in other hotels. Towels change, very quickly respond to any comments. Still forgot about the minibar which is the first time to fill up for free.

Now let's move on to such an important issue for our compatriot as food and drink. If you are a fan of, so to speak, "Turkish style", then you are not here. Don't stay hungry, but don't expect anything special. Alcohol is present. I liked wine, beer, Metaxa cognac is unusual, cocktails are normal.
Juices are not powdered, from packages. Waiters, with rare exceptions, cope.
The hotel area is small, green and clean. Two pools - children's and adult. Didn't like it. Chlorinated and not very clean. Instead, I really liked the sea. We have never spent so many hours on the beach. The water temperature is very comfortable. The bottom is sandy. The air is also not very hot. Sunbeds, however, had to be occupied early, but for me it's not a problem. I like to swim in the sea at dawn.
No entertainment at the hotel. On Tuesdays, the tavern is a Greek evening - syrtaki dance and play the bazooka. If you have "All" you can have dinner there for free to watch and listen. If not "All" then just look and listen. Someone is playing and singing in the bar near the reception. There is a playground and a mini club. I can't say anything about the latter, but there are a lot of children in the hotel.
To the nearest village from the hotel one and a half to two kilometers. Four times a day walk free necklaces.
It is better to go there because it is downhill, and you can walk back.
Now about Greece itself. A little disappointed. Thinking will be like Poland or Hungary, but in fact more like Turkey. The first Meteora and the second Thessaloniki were on excursions. I liked Meteora, but for such a long journey we could show something else. Helping Panoyotis guide. Very erudite and able to tell. A woman was a guide in Thessaloniki. She spoke a lot and incomprehensibly. It was a few hours of free time. We walked around the city, bought some and had lunch in a diner.
Conclusion: if you like to eat well on vacation and have fun, you are not here. But if you love the sea and are going to spend many hours on the beach, this is the place for you.
