We vacation in Greece every year, so here's what I want to say. The hotel and the village of Chanioti in general is NOT Greece. In my opinion, only Russian tourists are driven there, and, apparently, not very pretentious ones. I highly DO NOT recommend choosing this hotel and this place for the first holiday in Greece.
So. We had a room with a view not of the pool (into the "courtyard"), but of the street and, accordingly, the entrance to the room from the street. This, by the way, is very convenient. In principle, there are no complaints about the room, it is quite large and the bathroom is also not small. There was really no soap and shampoo, but these are trifles.
Food. Here is something. From drinks, you can’t drink what they serve as Metaxa, since this is some kind of burda that does not resemble this wonderful drink in ANYTHING. Ouzo, beer and wine are more or less normal.

The buffet is a weak resemblance to a 2-star Turkish hotel, for some reason almost all (2-3) hot pasta dishes, the quality of cooking corresponds to the level of a cheap canteen of the Soviet period, there are no typical Greek dishes at all. Salads are all a la rus (with corn, carrot, such as Olivier, cabbage - this is all variety). Tzatziki (typical Greek appetizer of yogurt, grated fresh cucumbers, garlic) is made so tasteless that you don't know what it is. Moreover, it is not clear why such food - even in order to save money, you can cook everything much better from the same products (which they do in nearby taverns) - the hotel probably invited a retired cook with Soviet "training" from our country.
By the way, here watermelons and melons were served quite well and indeed from fruits they were the only ones present and 3 times a day.
The village of Hanioti itself is Russian-speaking. Russian is constantly heard on the street, in the stores almost all the sellers speak Russian (with a Ukrainian, Georgian, etc. accent), there are many fur coat shops.
In general, if anyone wants to feel the spirit of Greece, appreciate the hospitality of its inhabitants, try real Greek food - don't go to Chanioti. For example, 5 km from Hanioti, there is a wonderful post-Pefkohori - you can have a wonderful rest there, and the sea is better there.
