Rested in this hotel from 14 to 28 September 2011. We were very pleased with the pleasant landscape design, which is typical for hotels of this level, and the work of the staff: everything is decided at the first request. The room was standard, the design was nice, I was surprised by the old washed towels and bathrobes, as well as an empty mini-bar. For the first time in five stars I meet a similar situation. There is no internet in the rooms. In * Internet cafes * the network is just dying, barely crawling. The food was rated at 4, because a small selection of fruits and desserts. The main meat dishes are quite varied. All drinks except breakfast are chargeable. This is also a minus. Water at 3.5 euros for 0.75 liters of water is nonsense. The request to serve coffee or tea at dinner caused tension among the staff, running around, it seems, in the lobby. The beach is bad. The absence of a sandy beach is not discussed, it is a given, but a pontoon. . . there are quite a lot of elderly vacationers in the hotel, doomed to swim in chlorinated pools or stomp on slippery pebbles with the risk of falling. I don’t understand what prevents the hotel administration from making a well-fixed pontoon with a gentle staircase to enter the sea. We rested in Turkey, also a pebble beach, a beautiful pontoon and a sloping metal staircase - no problem, the hotel is only a plus. In Kos Imperial, the descent and ascent into the sea for athletes, the stairs are just not cable, vertical, the pontoon is rather wobbly. And this is the best hotel on the island. I think the tour is overpriced. Most middle-aged couples *bought* the hotel's stardom. Animation is cheap. An evening of Greek dances was a very pitiful sight: 3 men and 3 women in black trousers, white blouses and red armbands, dancing not very synchronously, one * dancer * looked like he accidentally got on stage, dressed on occasion in more or less suitable brown pants and not familiar with dance technique. We had no claims for super-entertainment, we were looking for a relaxing holiday, but I think that if the hotel is already positioning itself in a certain way, then it must be consistent. We took half board breakfast and dinner. Then we regretted that we only needed breakfast. Food in the city is 2 times cheaper, and leaves a more pleasant impression than a buffet. As a result, we will not go there again, although we really liked the island itself, quite nice.
