As for the area, it is really very small, calm, like a small village (for Pieria near the sea - this is a common picture). On the street near the hotel there are small shops, cafes, restaurants and, in my opinion, billiards, but it was closed in September. The beach is dirty, the sea is excellent, clean, transparent, it probably stormed once in a week (but this moment is probably difficult to predict).
We were in September, there were few vacationers, but by the end of our stay the hotel was filled with tourists from sightseeing tours and at the same time there was enough food for everyone. The people did not crowd. The trays were changed on time, the service was good, they would bring some water, smile, pour it... In general, about the food, I can say that the breakfasts are a little monotonous, but you won’t stay hungry, and we certainly didn’t complain about dinners. I would give this hotel a 4* rating. I can't say enough bad things about the hotel and the staff. Very friendly and helpful, they always try to help, they know their stuff. In my opinion this is one of the best hotels in the area (value for money).
Not far from the hotel is the fortress of Platamon, it can be seen from the beach, you can go on an excursion there (in my opinion, 3 euros entrance). If you go even further (about 20 minutes walk) along the beach through the tunnel, you can reach the town of Platamonas, it is busier than the village around the hotel. Some of the vacationers even climbed the mountain in the village. Panteleimon, they said that they really liked it.
