When choosing a hotel, I read the reviews on this site and it was they who had a decisive influence on the decision. The first thing that drew attention to Dedalos Beach was the access to the beach. The hotel is on the seafront. You can go to the beach at any time. The beach is sandy. Pretty clean. Umbrellas and sunbeds for extra. fee. If you buy a set (2 sun beds and an umbrella) for the duration of your stay, it will cost 5 euros per day. We did just that and spent most of our time on the beach.
Food: The food is good. Breakfast (from 7.30 to 9.30). In the early days, it seemed that you could overeat. A few days later they got spoiled and began to criticize: either they slowly fill empty trays, or the ration is not the same. Dinner (from 19.30 to 21.30). Delicious and varied. The only complaint is about the quality of the meat. Often it was wiry and hard. In addition, as we found, in Swede. the table does not include drinks, so tea had to be bought (2 euros per bag). You can eat in the dining room or on the terrace overlooking the sea. In the evenings, I light lamps on the tables, a very pleasant atmosphere.
Cleaning: Cleaned almost every day. Linen was changed every other day. In general, everything is fine. I really liked the quality of the sheets: smooth and soft material.

Staff: no one knows Russian. We had to communicate in English. There was no special friendliness, but in general everything is correct. On the last day we were evicted at 12 noon, while the transfer was supposed to be only at 19.30. Unfortunately, we were not offered any comfortable conditions for waiting. I had to sit in the lobby for 7 hours. Although initially, it seems, they said that they could provide another room. This slightly spoiled the impression of the hotel.
Territory and room: We were placed in a room on the -1 floor (No. 103). There were pros and cons to this. Pros: Separate entrance. No steps. Quick access to the dining room, courtyard and beach. Minus - there are utility rooms opposite. All the time there was noise from a running engine, either a washing machine or a compressor. Silence is not to be enjoyed!
The room has: a large bed, a large closet, several bedside tables and chairs, a TV (it showed badly), a hairdryer, a bath (not a shower). For a hotel fee rented a safe (3 euros per day). Air conditioning was not needed (do not know the price).
The hotel is located far away from the nearest town. There are several taverns and mini markets in the area. Rethymno can be reached by bus.
Internet: Free WiFi in the lobby. Unfortunately, it turned out to connect only a phone to it, for some reason the laptop did not connect. In recent days, they discovered that there is a computer in the lobby, at which various people periodically sit. Apparently everyone can use it. But they never asked if that was the case.
Excursions: The hotel guide came to the hotel every evening. Gave qualified and complete information about the proposed trips. At our request, she organized a trip to Athens for us (booked air tickets and a transfer to the airport).
In general: I liked the hotel. Especially the sea =)
