Makryammos Hotel is located on the shores of one of the most picturesque bays of Thassos. It consists of small bungalows located right in the middle of a pine forest, on a mountain. The first thing you pay attention to upon arrival is the beauty, peace and solitude of this place. The hotel has a tennis court (10 euros / hour), a swimming pool, a children's playground and its own mini-zoo with deer and peacocks (loudly screaming all day and night). Since the bungalows are located on a hill, the hotel has a special service for the delivery of luggage from the reception to the room and back; you can also order an electric car to the beach (free of charge). The distance from the far standard room to the beach is about 250-300 m. The beach is sandy with a comfortable entry into the water. Please note that you will have to climb stairs from the restaurant, beach and pool. Sunbeds by the pool are free, on the beach - 7 euros / day for a "set" (2 sunbeds and an umbrella). It is strange that the hotel charges for sunbeds and umbrellas, because the hotel's beach is closed to outside visitors (probably affected by the crisis). Change of beach towels - 1 euro. The hotel operates on the HB system (breakfast / dinner), drinks at dinner - for a surcharge. You can have lunch in a tavern on site (about 20 euros for two) or go to the nearest town of Limenas, located 2 km from here (half an hour through the mountain on foot or by taxi - 5 euros one way). Since the hotel does not have a currency exchange and an ATM, it is better to come here immediately with euro cash.
The Makriamos rooms are renovated and equipped with everything you need: hair dryer, air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, safe. Each room has a small terrace with a romantic view of the beautiful bay. Free Wi-Fi works great. But the plumbing in the rooms is a little "tired", the sockets hang out, the curtain in the shower lets water through. In addition, bungalows have very poor sound insulation. But in general, the hotel makes a favorable impression and is perfect for active people who are tired of the hustle and bustle of big cities and who know how to entertain themselves on their own.
