Russian-speaking staff Maria and Alexis work at the reception, and if the shift fell on English speakers, then our hotel guides helped us in talking with them.
We settled right away, so it was 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and check-in from two.
We reached the room by golf cart, which works every day. The room is cozy, modern furniture, its own terrace. Safe, telephone, air conditioning, everything was already included in the price of the room. Clean bathroom, large bed, cleaned every morning while we were at breakfast.
The hotel operates on a breakfast-dinner basis. Large selection of dishes, drinks included in the price only in the morning.
There are 4 bars on the territory: at the restaurant, the beach, an evening bar next to the tavern (where we sometimes dined) and a pool bar. The pool was for adults and children. There are two lifeguards, one at the pool and one at the beach.
Near the beach there is entertainment: a catamaran, inflatable mattresses and water sports. Only for an additional fee, we paid about 15 euros for a catamaran.
There is also a mini market on site where you can buy everything you need.
We went on a sailboat excursion, because we wanted to see the rest of the island's beaches, we liked it, it's more of a boat trip than an excursion, and it was on it that we enjoyed the views of the island.
We were presented with a 10% certificate for the next year, so we plan to return to the island.

The food is very varied! Every day we always took different dishes, and believe me, for 11 nights (! ) my dishes were different from each other. Some of the waiters were also Russian-speaking and helped in choosing drinks. I highly recommend Fredo Espresso, as they cook in the hotel, I have never tasted tastier anywhere.

It was very safe for the child, as there were places on the sailboat that sheltered from the sun, and it was possible to put them to bed. It never got sick when we sailed on it, and the mussels that we had for lunch will be remembered for a long time, as it was very tasty! Even the Driver allowed to steer the sailboat. The child was delighted.
When the kids grow up, we will definitely come back and visit the Olympus-Vergina-Meteora tour, but for now, we really miss our days in this hotel.

The hotel is located near the capital of the island Limenas. It is about 2 km away, and you can get there by taxi in 5 minutes. There are many taverns, souvenir shops, supermarkets in the city, the largest one is Masutis supermarket. I really liked Simi and Mesogeos tavern and the old part of the city.
The hotel is very large, the territory impresses with its beauty, there is a lot of vegetation, there are pines, chestnuts and much more. On the territory of the hotel you can safely walk or take a golf cart to any point of the hotel.
The hotel has a swimming pool and a pool bar nearby, sunbeds are free by the pool. And the beach is just great! The distance to the beach is short, the sand is soft and the entrance is smooth. The beach has a shower, toilet and beach bar, sunbeds and umbrellas cost 10 euros for the first and second line.
We liked our Superior Junior Suite for three, a large comfortable bed, a sofa bed, an electric kettle, air conditioning and, of course, a beautiful view.
The food was very pleasing, Greek cuisine and not only, and the variety of desserts simply delighted. Insanely delicious.
There is also a children's club, which is open from 10 am to 5 pm, where my daughter painted, played musical instruments, made bracelets, in general, she really liked it, and there was a DJ for adults.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. The shift must have Russian-speaking staff, there is no language barrier, and hotel guides are constantly on duty.

If you don't want to spoil your holiday, don't take a standard room, only Superior and above. Standard rooms have not been updated in any way since the hotel was built, since 1965! They look and smell the same. This is more of a hostel than a decent 4 star hotel in this price range. By no means a budget holiday and such squalor when placing is not compatible.

From sea dishes you could try shrimp in pasta or rice, octopus, mussels, fish soups, fried traditional fish gavro, squid, salads with tuna. In general, for lovers of seafood, there is not a small choice. Once a week, the hotel did a traditional Greek dinner. It was all very tasty. You don't have to worry about food.
The beach also did not leave us without impressions. The hotel had a beach, which was one of the most beautiful beaches on the whole island of Thassos. The wide white sand beach with marble sand provided great pleasure. The entrance to the sea was gentle and sandy. The sea is clean and has a beautiful turquoise hue. We loved to play volleyball on the beach. And the biggest plus is that only tourists staying at the hotel rested on this beach, despite the fact that this beach is famous on the island, no one except us rested there.
We like to change places of rest, but I will definitely return to Makryammos. There really is a vacation.

Our room was two-room, the kids lived in one, the hotel provided us with a baby court, so there were no problems with the baby, my husband and I were in the other room. When we were driving, we were worried about nutrition, the baby was still breastfeeding, but we worried in vain. I, as a mother, ate everything and everything was fine with the baby. And my all, they were also just delighted with the variety, the cook there is just a master. I still remember these mushrooms in sauce, or baked fish. And well, we had to climb a little to the room, but this did not become a problem. The machine was working, which transported everyone, it was possible to call it to the number. I booked a deluxe room. The deluxe had a balcony overlooking the sea and was very close to the beach. The room itself is spacious and comfortable, the furniture is new, beautiful, the appliances worked properly and did not deliver any amenities. Cleaning was done every day, towels and linen changed every 2 days. The food at the hotel is good. Breakfast is European: cereals, various jams, toast, ham and cheese cuts, scrambled eggs, omelettes and delicious Greek yogurt. Dinners are excellent, delicious, home-cooked. A couple of times a week there were mussels, delicious salmon, rabbit, duck, turkey, veal baked in the oven. Pork and chicken were constantly on the table, squid, grilled meat, eggplant casseroles, many different salads and just fresh vegetables. I had lunch in a tavern, which is located next to the hotel, they serve excellent food, the portions are large, tasty and satisfying. Lunch included about 12-15 euros. Makryammos has a magnificent beach, the best in Thassos, after Marble, I went to it a couple of times. A private boat sails around the island from time to time, on it you can sail to Limenas for about 2 euros, buy souvenirs there, visit some kind of tavern. You can take a taxi back (about 3 euros), or you can walk, which I often did. In general - the rest was a success, Thassos is a great place to relax!

Since the bungalows are located on a hill, the hotel has a special service for the delivery of luggage from the reception to the room and back; you can also order an electric car to the beach (free of charge). The distance from the far standard room to the beach is about 250-300 m. The beach is sandy with a comfortable entry into the water. Please note that you will have to climb stairs from the restaurant, beach and pool. Sunbeds by the pool are free, on the beach - 7 euros / day for a "set" (2 sunbeds and an umbrella). It is strange that the hotel charges for sunbeds and umbrellas, because the hotel's beach is closed to outside visitors (probably affected by the crisis). Change of beach towels - 1 euro. The hotel operates on the HB system (breakfast / dinner), drinks at dinner - for a surcharge. You can have lunch in a tavern on site (about 20 euros for two) or go to the nearest town of Limenas, located 2 km from here (half an hour through the mountain on foot or by taxi - 5 euros one way). Since the hotel does not have a currency exchange and an ATM, it is better to come here immediately with euro cash.
