We settled in fairly quickly. The girls at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Of the minuses: it is very difficult to climb with a heavy suitcase, a slide leads to the hotel, and it was not fun to drag things up the stairs, there is no elevator.
The room is good, bright, large bed, two armchairs, micro-kitchen, refrigerator, safe, air conditioning. From the balcony, a view of the distant sea. They cleaned well, wet towels were changed every day, the attendants were never seen. Cons: Hair dryer! I don’t know, maybe he just worked for us like this for a minute, then turned off, then for 10 seconds, then stalled again. Probably overheated. The second minus of the room, but this is a claim to my travel agency, they promised with an oath a bed and a sofa, they gave a bed and 2 armchairs. It didn't matter to me. But my sister did not like it, it is more convenient to sleep separately. I didn’t contact anyone with this question, I was afraid they would change it to a basement with two rooms) But not all rooms are bad there.
Meals were half board. If possible, take only breakfast, there are many taverns nearby where you can roam your stomach. Morning buffet with cold cuts, salads, fruits, cereals, juices, sweets, etc. Everything is delicious, I liked it. But for people who love to eat tightly and a large variety will be difficult. Dinner, sometimes there was a buffet, you won't leave hungry, but without a huge choice. A couple of salads, main courses and side dishes. Drinks in the evening are paid. Baking in a single copy. And sometimes the menu choice, a couple of times loved it, delicious, although the choice of 2 salads, 4 courses, 3 desserts (fruits, pastries or ice cream). The service is very attentive. I did not go to their restaurant Villa Rosa.
The pool is warm and there is a bar. I liked the territory, flowers, pine forest. There is a small playground, the animals are very funny chickens, ponies, goats, cats (if you show them food, you won't run away)).
The hotel gave us a map and we went to Gerakas. Walk 15 minutes. We really liked this beach, we went there in the evening with our rug. And so 2 sunbeds and an umbrella cost 15 euros all day, 8 euros half a day. Sunbeds are best taken in the morning. Turtles were not seen, although there are masonry everywhere. This beach is not particularly equipped except for the sunbeds and the sea, there is nothing. Greenpeace protects.
Banana Beach (our favorite) is half an hour walk, but we went by 9 am and spent the whole day there. 2 sun loungers and an umbrella 6 euros, a tent 12 euros, everywhere there is a menu of the nearest cafe. We took a tent, a guy and a girl walked by, taking orders, they brought everything very quickly. In short, not life, but a fairy tale, I wanted to close, sleep, eat, open sunbathing) Everything is there, a shower, a locker room, water entertainment.
Didn't like Porto Roma beach. Walk to it for about 20 minutes, a narrow strip, stones. Agios Nikolaos next to Banana is nothing. Everywhere the sea is long shallow, incredibly clean, very suitable for children.
Since I wanted to see everything at once, we booked an individual tour from the hotel guide. Minibus up to 8 people, 350 euros. The more people go, the cheaper it is. I found the campaign at the hotel. You choose the time and route. The tour lasts 8 hours. We drove to Xygia beach (hydrosulfur spring), then from Agios Nikolaos bay to Navagio and blue caves, Navagio viewpoint, other viewpoints (our driver chose special views), through Zakynthos, beautiful monastery, 2000 year old olive tree, Limnionas bay (be sure to swim). We did not want to go to Askos Park. We left at 8.30 in the morning to be in Navagio without a crowd. We stopped to buy souvenirs, I regretted that I didn’t buy enough there. Vasilikos has a modest selection of shops.
Buses run to the city, the schedule is available at the hotel and at bus stops. But I heard the Greeks are not punctual) It’s better to go out at the church of St. Dionysius, having obtained a map of the city.
