Beautiful green area, palm trees, swimming pools, comfortable rooms, restaurant, bars, internet, quality service. The ecologically clean coast is under the protection of the Greek Marine Park, in summer you can see carriage-carriage turtles here.More →

Rested from 27.08. 2010 in this hotel with my husband. We had many complaints about the hotel. Give out 2 towels per person (bath and face), change 1 time in three days. If you stain a towel and leave it on the floor, they will not replace it, but hang it back. Give out 2 towels per person (bath and face), change 1 time in three days. If you stain a towel and leave it on the floor, they will not replace it, but hang it back. I want to warn everyone that they give a small piece of soap (as in trains) once upon check-in. The bathroom has a ventilation window where there are a lot of mosquitoes. When we checked in, we were given a remote control for the air conditioner, and on September 1 they took it away while there was no one in the room. From September 1, you have to pay for air conditioning, but we didn’t know, so we persistently searched for the remote control in the room. The room should be taken only with a sea view. Firstly, you will see a gorgeous sunset and sunrise and the sea is soothing. Secondly, the noise from the road will be less disturbing (and the hotel is near the road). Sunbeds by the pool are free, but mattresses are paid. Sunbeds start at 7 am. Breakfast is very modest: only white bread, ham is clearly not meat, milk is like water. We once took ham to feed the fish, so it dissolved (melted) in water in 30 seconds. With everything else, I agree with Anna. I wrote about the shortcomings so that you can more accurately make a choice and take with you what you need for your vacation. In September there were many Russian tourists and Romanians. The sea was cool, especially after September 3rd. But there was time for excursions. Have a good rest everyone.

Rested alone on about. Zakynthos from 12 to 23/07/2010. The island itself is not big, about 400 km2. Pleasant paradise beach & chrissi akti hotel, good three-ruble note. The island itself is not big, about 400 km2. Pleasant paradise beach & chrissi akti hotel, good three-ruble note. Located in the village of Argassi. 4 minutes walk from the center of the village on the very beach. Consists of 2 buildings. More precisely, these are 2 hotels, united by a common territory, on which there is parking, a swimming pool and a snack bar. Most of the rooms have a direct or angular sea view. The room has everything you need: beds, chairs, tables, a dressing table, a fairly large refrigerator with ice molds, a radio, a hairdryer, sets of towels (2-3 per person), soap. There are no other bathroom amenities. Very pleased with the air conditioning (free of charge). The TV shows several purely Greek channels, but not one musical one. When you check in, make sure that you were given remotes for the TV and air conditioner. Everything in the room works from a key fob inserted into the sensor on the wall. Cleaning every day, linen and towels changed quite often.
In principle, she didn’t leave a tip because of some arrogance of the maids.
The hotel is owned by an elderly couple. The staff is polite, but will not strain once again.
Of the guests of the hotel, the British predominate, as in general on the island. Italians, Scandinavians. There are no Russians at all. For 12 days, only 2 families from Moscow settled in a neighboring building.
There is a safe at the reception, I didn't use it. There were no problems.
In the Paradise beach building there is a bathroom, in the second shower room, but not very comfortable - behind a curtain. Paradise beach has a very good room 204 - it just has a huge balcony. In mine, 304, there is also a large balcony with a table and chairs.
I was very afraid of ants, which everyone wrote about. There were no ants.
The hotel has one of the best beaches in the village. Many came to him, despite the fact that they lived 15 minutes on foot. In my opinion, the beach average - sand, the width of the beach is only 5 meters (from the hotel to the water) and the length is 30 meters.
But, according to other tourists, the rest of the beaches are not pleasant, rough pebbles. Here the entrance is sandy, very smooth, about 50 meters from the shore you will still be on your feet. Children expanse and themes. who does not like a sharp dive. A sunbed and an umbrella are 3 euros a day, but they take a fee in a strange way, a hotel employee goes to the beach and collects money from those who are on the sunbed. If the vezha are lying, and you are swimming, they will not charge you anymore. Anyway, I paid 2 times). From the beach to the pool - 3 meters, there are free sunbeds in principle. There is a shower near the snack bar, I saw it by accident already on the day of departure, and so I took a bottle of water to the beach and washed my face, because the water is very salty. I didn’t swim in the pool - once I went into the water and felt like I was in a bowl of soup - it doesn’t cool.
In fact, the Greeks are lazy people, the beach is cleaned starting at 8 am! but cigarette butts remain even after cleaning. Don't stress...

Nutrition.
Breakfast (from 07:30 to 10), every day is the same: all 1 type: loaf, butter, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, cereal, 3 types of jam. From drinks - diluted juice in ass-those, milk, tea, coffee, water, tasteless muffins, watermelon. The only thing that impressed me was the cottage cheese. It is pasty, similar to "Danisimo" and with any jam it's just best.
Breakfast room - with a picturesque view of the sea, right outside the open windows!

Lots of supermarkets. In which you will find everything. Whatever your heart desires, there are bakeries with fresh pastries and confectionery. A liter bottle of water in the store costs from 60 cents.
Considering that I was not going to spend whole days at the hotel, I considered it inappropriate to take the all-inclusive, which I did not regret. There are so many taverns and small supermarkets in Argassi that it is not difficult to eat or buy food. In each institution, the same dish is prepared in absolutely different ways and I wanted to taste the national cuisine.
There are 2 clubs in Argassi, one in the form of a castle with lights, very cute, the second is at the Magic Mushroom crossroads. Both are nearby. They work until 5-6 am. Argassi 1 has a large street and another one crosses in a T-shape. The place for walking is the same, but in the heat there is simply no strength to go anywhere, and in the evenings there are enough bars, taverns and trips to the capital, since it is very good. near.
I went to another village on the coast of Lagan - this is a small city with streets. well-developed infrastructure, working 24 hours. The main party street Main Road - has a darkness of restaurants, shops, eateries and nightclubs, they stand in a row and the crowd flows from one to another. Girls dancers, bartenders who make very high quality cocktails and show a beautiful incendiary show ...For those who are waiting for a cozy, relaxing holiday, Laganas is not his place of rest. Music in bars and taverns does not subside and to some extent the sounds from the street penetrate into the room.
According to tourists, when they flew back, it was one big noisy party. I went 1 time, fun, but very annoying crowds of British youth, up to 20 years old, who, in a drunken and insane state, rowdy in the city. European youth, leaving colleges for vacations, breaks away without parents in a way that fans of Spartak and Zenith combined did not dream of ...In the Lagan area, all the beaches are municipal, sand, pebbles, the sea, an ecologically clean place. There are also all water sports ...There are a lot of people on the beaches there. But from hotels to the beach, as a rule, far away. . The distances from the descriptions of the hotels do not correspond to the actual ones and it is hard in the heat. . But maybe the tourists from my plane got there and there are others ...
Transport:
I do not recommend taking motorcycles! Huge number of accidents! Drunk Englishmen rush behind the wheel regardless of either 2 continuous or pedestrian crossings ...and this is with winding narrow roads!
The locals drive very carefully, not fast. . But it's worth renting a car. Maps of the island are in restaurants and other places, they can be taken for free and everything is clear there, even without knowing English. . No cops for you, no parking problems. . one thing - look at both, so that the British do not cut, etc. Rights are also needed for an ATV. Gasoline 1.5 euro liter.
The island is worth a ride, a feeling of boundless freedom, beauty. In 2-3 days you will see all the sights, check out all the resort villages and wild places. .
There are scheduled buses, they cost 1.4 euros, there are a lot of stops, the schedule is written on all of them, they tried to get on them several times - they don’t adhere to them.
There is a tourist train on wheels, the price is 2 times higher.
Taxi from a hotel or other place in Argassi to the capital of the island, Zakynthos = 7-10 euros. To Lagana 15-16.
You can call a taxi by contacting any institution - a store, a bar, etc. , they will call and call, it costs nothing. .
, they also drive through the streets - you can vote and there are plenty of parking lots. Somehow I just caught a car and they just drove me from the capital to the hotel. (4-5 km)
Tours:
I will say right away that the Ionian Sea is really beautiful! The transitions of water from blue to green, blue, azure colors are amazing. Crystal clear water....Each bay offers new colors, caves and breathtaking shots...
Beaches to the right of Argassi - 10 minutes by car, Porto Zorro, Banana Beach, St. Beach, etc. . there are the most beautiful places of the beaches.
The beaches of the island, especially the villages of Lagana and Kalamaki, are a place under special protection, as the sea turtles of the Careta-Careta live there. They make masonry, which is protected by environmentalists. Therefore, from 8 pm they are closed. Glass-bottom boat trips to Marasonisi (turtle) island allow you to view the sea caves of the island and turtles in the sea.
The boat goes around the island, goes around it, enters the caves of the island and comes to the beach, where they give an hour of time to swim, take pictures, then sail back and watch turtles along the way! Just super! Huge turtles swim right around the boat, They come up often to take a breath of air.

Separately about the bay of Navajo:
40 minutes by bus, then 40 minutes by boat and in front of you is a bay with a shipwrecked pirate ship of the 20th century. Please note that there is a sharp descent into the water and rough pebbles. The beach is wild, without amenities. I will warn you - this tour cannot be bought at a street agency - they offer a new ship with a pool, on which 300-400 people swim at once, and mostly standing! Like sprats in a jar! From Solvex on a boat with comfort - 30 people. It will not be possible to retire in this beautiful bay. The company will be several hundred tourists eager to see this place. With a tour we were brought there for an hour and a half.
If you go from Askos towards Skinari, you can see the lighthouse and take an excursion on small boats to the famous Blue Caves (blue caves). Small boats enter many caves, unlike large excursion ships.

There is an Aquapark, it is located near Laganas.

Excursion to about. I took Kefalonia from a guide. Somewhere around 40 euros. To the port by bus, then on a huge ferry to the island 1.5 hours. They sailed on decks 2 and 3, and below there were buses and cars. We visited the church of St. Gerasimus - the patron saint of the island; Dragorati caves with descent and inspection of stalactites and stalagmites. Then visit the most mysterious and mystical underground lake Military. Films were shot there, poets wrote about it. . its really worth seeing! Big stop at the port for swimming and lunch; photo stops. .
Sightseeing on the island of Zakynthos: by bus around the island, photo stops; Churches of St. Moors and St.
Dionysius with incorruptible relics and mysterious iconography; boat trips on the sea, with a stop in bays and caves, a visit to Poseidon Bay; lunch in a tavern overlooking the Oliva, which is 3.5 thousand years old. ; a visit to an olive oil factory and a trip to a winery, with a tasting of all types of wines…

All excursions from Solvex are led by Russian girls and they also tell myths about ancient Greece, which is quite interesting. No one is delighted with the Olympic Village, because 1 column remained there and the rest was irretrievably lost. . Athens for 1 day seemed unreal to me in such heat. . There is always a choice.

O. Zakynthos is rich in olive trees (2 million), vineyards, in some places eucalyptus, orchards. . The vegetation is not very saturated, but there is something to see. There is little historical heritage there, there were earthquakes - a huge part was destroyed. So, who are interested in the ruins, then it is rather Rhodes, Crete, etc.
But you will not see such rocks and such a sea anywhere else!

About prices. In taverns they are about the same. And for fish and meat and vegetarian dishes. . They are fed, as elsewhere in Greece, for slaughter, a lot and sooo fat and everything is garnished with french fries, if you don’t like it, warn me right away! Feel free to divide the portion for two, or even three. On average, about 25-30 euros for two or three people with wine or beer.
As souvenirs - small bottles (for 1 glass) of aniseed vodka, maps with a view of the Olympic Games (there are also options for adults), natural soap and wine. Ceramics, copper. Decorations for everyone.

By the way, duty free is very large.

So, if you are going to visit this romantic, small and friendly island - say hello to him from me!
