Rested with a colleague in July-August 2007. The hotel is beautiful! Located a little on the mountain at the very end of the road, surrounded by cedars with stunning sea views. The author should have been awarded a prize for the project - the hotel protrudes into the sea, descends with terraces to the beach, the upper floors - the SPA and the business center - are visible when approaching the building, the rooms themselves are lower, so even the slightest noise from occasionally approaching cars is generally not heard in the rooms . Beautiful landscape design, paths, comfortable benches, lavender, lemon balm, everything is fragrant, cedar branches are stretched out the window of the room. There are several cafes on the beach, in the evenings with very calm live - good vocals and national - music, but the acoustics are so thought out that it is already quiet a few steps from the cafe. Despite the fact that the hotel is full, it feels like it is empty. There are a lot of Englishmen, there are Germans, people, as a rule, with good self-respect, they say hello and goodbye in the elevator. Although in the morning an Irish family with two boys moved our sunbeds several times away from their chosen place under the shade of a cedar tree while we went to breakfast. But this was the only case. Rest couples aged, families with small children, who nevertheless somehow do not make noise.
The interior is calm (wood tones) and tasteful. The staff is friendly and attentive - at the reception, and maids, and in the restaurant. In general, in Croatia and in Dubrovnik as a whole it is very harmonious to communicate with the local population: it is felt that they were not under the yoke, even the Turks. Although somewhat surprised by the lack of Russian-speaking staff in the hotel. I strongly advise you to take dinner, because, firstly, there is a varied and excellent cuisine, and, secondly, the hotel is somewhat removed from other restaurants and cafes. I did not really want to go to the center - it is very noisy and crowded there. The bus runs regularly and ordering a taxi is no problem. If you are not a fan of eating a lot, then lunch with vegetables, high-quality dairy products and tea is enough. Nearby (half an hour walk or 10 minutes by bus) there is a good supermarket where we bought food for lunch, also fruits and excellent wine. They took a kettle and good tea with them, brewed it in the room and drank on the balcony, admiring the sea and cedars. Glasses of wine and dairy products were put in the refrigerator in the room - no one was outraged. The hotel at the reception had a good exchange rate - more profitable than in the city itself. Spa services are all of high quality, prices correspond to Moscow ones. There are almost no people in the hotel pool, it and the jacuzzi are free and free. In general, the rest was wonderful - beauty, peace, the atmosphere of unobtrusive care for the client.
Of the minuses - when the sea is rough, it is difficult to go down into the water (ladder from the stove) - there are only two computers in the business center, and it is difficult to get online (often busy), so those who like to combine leisure with work should take their laptop. In the park, local cicadas chirp very loudly during the day. The central air conditioner was not regulated in the room (I like to set it at 16 degrees at night), but since the colleague turned out to be thermophilic, this generally did not create a reason for controversy.

I didn’t like the excursions, because it was very hot (there was a threat of fires by the end of the term), so we swam a lot, went to the spa, walked, read (took books with us), watched TV with Russian channels). Given the collapse of communication and informational stress at work, the rest exceeded all expectations.
I would gladly go again.
