We rested in this hotel with the operator "Accord Tour" (Lviv) during the bus tour "Summer Temptation" (Hungary - Croatia - Italy - Austria).

Number: Immediately upon check-in, they asked for a good room and we were given a room on the fourth floor, two-room (bedroom and living room) with frontal sea views and a huge balcony. The room had slippers (which is certainly not traditional for a 2 * hotel), two TVs, shampoo and shower gel, a filled minibar (for a fee). We learned from other tour participants that there are very small rooms, without a balcony, overlooking a neighboring hotel or car wash. Therefore, if you don’t want to spoil your vacation, ask for a room with a sea view and a balcony immediately upon check-in, or if you book through an agency, check if there is such a gradation in the rooms, and, accordingly, in prices. In this case, it is better to immediately book a room with sea view and balcony.

And yet, in the room where we lived, most likely it is a suite, very comfortable accommodation for two adults and two children, because there are two rooms, a sofa that unfolds, and interior doors.

Location: A better location is hard to find. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the main street, but away from the noise of roads and cars. This is quite a rarity for Opatija, where most of the hotels are located along Marshal Titus Street, so the noise of cars and people from early morning until late evening is guaranteed.

Meals: we rested on the "breakfast + dinner" system. Meals take place at the Ambassador Hotel, which is accessed from the Ambassador Villa by a closed passage.
The food is quite monotonous, as for a 5-star hotel, which is the Ambassador. Except for one type of fried fish, I no longer saw the seafood that Croatian cuisine is so famous for. There were almost all kinds of fruits in August.
For lunch at the grill restaurant I ordered squid - fresh and very tasty.

Beach: In Opatija, the beaches are concrete platforms with a descent into the sea. Ambassador Beach is no exception. The cost of one sun lounger and one umbrella is 20 kunas (i. e. 3 euros). Of course, you can spread a blanket and relax in this way, but this is not particularly comfortable to do on a concrete slab. There is a municipal beach nearby, so there are sun loungers for 27 kunas, in the season there are a crowd of people, so I don’t advise going there.

Infrastructure: we rested a small amount of time, therefore, apart from food, the beach and rooms, nothing was particularly memorable. However. I remember that there is a spa center, a beauty salon, a souvenir shop.

General assessment of the hotel: everything is fine. Even if you choose between an ambassador hotel and an ambassador villa, I will give preference to a villa with the condition of accommodation in good rooms. It is more compact, quiet and comfortable.
Falling asleep and waking up with open windows to the sound of the surf or sitting on the balcony to admire the sunset and sunrise over the Adriatic Sea is wonderful.

General assessment of the resort: despite the fact that Croatia, in general, and Opatija, in particular, made a very good impression, this is still not a resort for tourists with children who require a developed infrastructure of hotels, cheerful animation, etc. etc. ; not for tourists who are accustomed to paying once at the agency, on vacation not to worry about the cost of a sun lounger, drinks, food, etc. But, if you are tired of Turkey, the "cultural" vacation of our compatriots, and also want to enjoy the clean sea and beautiful nature, see the islands, nature reserves, cities with a peculiar architecture and atmosphere, then you will like Croatia.
